Awesome! April is also tax filing month so let's see if we get the N400 out in the same month or end up delaying to May 😂

I'm guessing it's probably useful to have the tax transcript from this year available to submit too.

August 2017 - June 2018 AoS

April 2020 - January 2021 RoC

Jan 2022 - September 2022 Citizenship

For us we will have to include taxes from 2018,2019 and 2020. But I plan on doing my taxes asap to have it all sorted and mail it out / submit online for April 19th. Here we go to finding lots of paperwork again.

Hey all, just curious if we apply online for the N400 do you have to enter all information at the same time or can we start doing it online now and just enter a bit of info here and there as we collect it and then submit it once our date arrives.

Thanks

I’m planning to get my name changed on my UK passport in the next week or so. So in the mean time while I wait for that to come back, I want to start collecting evidence! I’m probably going to apply end of May. Potomac has not moved in almost a year and the wait time is getting longer and longer 😔

what kind of evidence are you planning to submit?

Are we supposed to get a mail from USCIS to confirm that we can apply for N400 during the 90 days prior/window of our permanent residence 3 year anniversary

Called USCIS to check a few things about my old case in order to make sure everything matched on the new N400, and they stated they didn't have an AR-11 on file (I sent this like 3 years ago when I moved to a new address). lol. I don't have a receipt number for my AR-11, but they said it's fine, and to just send asap. So, will be sending in the mail today, because I no longer trust the online filing system for that form, plus I want to have a chance to explain to them why they are just getting the AR-11 now. It's supposed to be sent within 10 days of moving, but I know I sent it to them. I doubt it'll be an issue, but will let you know how everything works out. Just waiting for driver's abstracts to get to me (should take a few weeks) so I can confirm the dates of accidents and tickets. Hoping the AR-11 thing doesn't change anything, since I have an explanation.

I may end up calling my previous insurance broker to see if they can send me my entire auto insurance history. It might make filling out the N400 quicker. I don't need a certified copy, technically, because none of the tickets were serious enough charges.

With the window opening up for many of us within the next few weeks... I have one (maybe silly) question: does the window close? Do we have to submit within the 90 day window or is it just open now for us to apply at any point? Or do we have to wait for the 5 year if we miss the 3 year?
