Take a copy of your old one and your new one to interview. It will be fine. If anything, it is good to have renewed of they need to put visa in. All your information should be the same so wouldn’t impact you. -

Which form do I use for the financial support? I will be sponsoring my mum to come over from the UK and meet the poverty guidelines. I am confused by the different versions. Also, what evidence should I provide to go along with this? Thank you!

She interviewed both my husband and I for it first and mentioned the paperwork hasn’t come in but she will go ahead and do it anyways. Then I did the N400 interview. She said I passed everything but won’t get my citizenship until she received my documents which could take a day or two. After two days my account updated and everything was processed. Then was invited for the ceremony. my fingers are crossed it happens soon!

I would file N400. When I had my interview the officer complained about how slow they can be. She requested to have my file sent over and they hadn’t done it so couldn’t complete the decision until she had it. It came after a few days but just shows they are SO slow!!

Hi all, I finished my visa journey over a year ago and became a US citizen. I am looking to bring my mum over from the UK. What form do I use and any information I should know before applying? thank you!

This happened to me and went for my citizenship interview. The officer requested to have file transferred to local office. She actually rolled her eyes and said they are so slow. I was recommended for approval on citizenship. Within two days my 1-751 was approved and my oath was scheduled. Hope that helps
