Hello all, just a quick question. I recently moved and changed my mailing address by emailing NVC and they replied to me and said they have updated it. My question is, will this change of address affect my Police Certificate? My police certificate has the old address. Also, do we need to update the I-864 to change my address? Thanks in advance!

I’m in the same boat (in Saskatchewan) my interview is on a Friday though so I’ve  been thinking of going on Monday to get medical and have it sent in time. Anyone who can speak to whether their medical got sent from Medysis in time for the interview? I feel like if there’s no chance, I’ll just go like wed or Thursday and not spend all that money on a hotel.

I just had my medical on Tuesday, and they said it would be ready in 2-3 days.  Of course, that still remains to be seen!  I didn't receive an email today, so we'll see tomorrow.  Interview is Monday.  It's a little confusing because when I initially called they said I'd need to have my appt by Jan 27th to guarantee it getting there on time... but now they said 2-3 days.  *shrug*

I just finished up -  it will have ‘OTHER’ and he added the repository holding message.    He thinks I’ll have it before I leave - COME ON CANADA POST.   🤞🏻

I ordered my PC on January 11 and received it in the mail on January 22 (I'm in BC too) so he should be right. Fingers and toes crossed for ya!

No prob! Yep, I had my interview on Feb 1 and was approved. 🙏 From the one (and only) time the CEAC Status Tracker has worked for me, the status of my visa said "issued" and in final processing. Best of luck on yours!

Thankyou for that. Thankfully mine will just be valid. Also does anyone have info on whether they have to have vaccinations up to date before the medical or can that all be caught up at the appointment.

I had to update my MMR and get the flu shot.  I had it done at home and it was free.  It costs $$$ if you have it done at your appt.

I am planning on doing the exact same thing to save money (arrive Wed/Thurs for medical), I'm glad I'm not the only one considering this option, I wasn't sure If it was ok to do. I'm fine with the extra 6-8 weeks to process because the medical is not in on time.

I hope there are times available close to March 12, I was working today and didn't have time to call for an appointment.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to provide an update. I had to cancel my interview on February 22 because I have an important medical procedure that cannot be rescheduled. The consulate said they will cancel this interview date and for me to email them when I am ready. Then they will try their best to accommodate during that time. I'll keep the group posted on the rescheduling process!

Thank you for sharing this with us. It's not often that people reschedule and as far as I know your experience will be the first one post-covid and will be helpful for many. I hope the medical procedure goes well!

I am not a lawyer and nothing I say is or should be taken as legal advice.

I've seen several people mentioning registering at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/information/iv_services, but my email doesn't mention this, nor does https://nvc.state.gov/prep.

Is this something I don't need to worry about?

It's on the Montreal Consulate page: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MTL-Montreal.html

Forgive my ignorance but why are you guys delaying your medical till the last minute? Dont they usually give you a months lead time between IL and appointment?
