I know the official answer is that the US Embassy will resume routine consular services as soon as they possibly can, but just checking to see if anyone has heard any rumor or any information on when they would potential resume processing K1 VISA in Nigeria and when we can begin scheduling interview dates.

Here is your work around Call ustravel at 703.544.7842 to clear up any problems.

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Hello,  I noticed based on your timeline you are awaiting your NOA2.  Is this correct? If so, are you able to check to schedule interviews on the visa portal or is this information someone notified you of?

That's for B1/B2 visas - has nothing to do with immigrant visas.

Plus you should never use a Nigerian "Visa Agency" to apply for a visa.  Plenty of Nigerians have tried for a B2 and found out that when they applied for an immigrant visa that they submitted an application for the B2 indicating they were married (thinking it increases their chance of approval) and get denied for the immigrant visa because they lied on the previous application.

Thanks for the info. I didn’t use them to apply for an American visa but for a Dubai visa. I saw the post about the visa portal just before I saw this person’s thread and thought to share the information and the source with them. I didn’t know it’s for B1/B2 visas as it wasn’t indicated in the screenshot the handler posted.
