I have used this site for years. I can still use my cellphone to access this site when WIFI is turned off, but not with my computer. Why would this site ban my IP?

 

It all started when I was looking at a thread today. I was quickly scrolling the pages to find a link in that thread. Did if think I was a bit scamming? Suddenly this messaged popped up and I lost access to this site.

Maybe an old spammer used your IP.  PM me your IP from the device in question so I can check.

  I also got this message yesterday when I tried to access the site from work. Never had issues before and I was still able to connect from my cell phone and later from my home network. Other people were mentioning having difficulty connecting to the site yesterday as well.

Having this issue too. There are a handful of people talking about it in a Facebook group that I’m in as well. Seems to be wider spread.

Also had this issues this morning. Have replicated the issue on multiple browsers, devices and both on and off WiFi (different IPs/IP refresh).  Finally able to connect by accessing the site through a twitter link rather than directly through a browser.

Update: mine has recovered. I'm now able to connect via WIFI

I am also unable to access it on my regular phone. Does anyone have a resolution as yet?

I've been having this issue since yesterday as well and it's still ongoing.... it only happens when I'm trying to access VJ on Safari on my phone (both on wifi and data) but works fine on google chrome and through laptop. However, when I access through safari on computer, the website looks weird..... it doesn't show me which threads I read (it looks like i read them all, there's nothing in bold anymore). Not sure if I'm making any sense.

this sounds like you aren't logged into your VJ account on that browser, so that's why it looks like everything is 'read' because it doesn't know what you have/haven't read.

It's resolved itself for my computer on Safari and google chrome, but not my cellphone (both on data and on WiFi), but I have no idea how it got resolved and have seen others reported that it appears to resolve for a period and then come back.

This happened to me, too. I am still not able to access via home wifi.

I am only able to respond now through VPN+Incognito mode. And I soon got blocked again, and having to try a different VPN...

 

Can someone help un-block?

I think i was logged in but doesn't matter now because I'm now getting that message on my laptop safari 😭   and I'm using vpn too, it's still giving me that message.

Same thing happened to me recently.  I access VJ on my laptop using Mozilla browser.  Never had issues before this week.

I’m glad I checked here. I have the same issue. I made two posts today and after that I can’t connect via wifi. I have to go thru cellular on my phone. I wonder if it is metronet or this site.
