Ah, it says Potomac Service Center on the bottom of the NOA2 letter.  Glad it didn't take the 13.5-17.5 months the case processing times are saying now.

We were transffered to potomac also, from nebraska but we were just approved 2days ago

We finally got approved today.  Almost one year to the day that we filed.  We got transferred to the National Benefits Center with no explanation in March.  I think it was the USCIS Ombudsman that finally got them to finish.  But we are on the the next adventure at the NVC and beyond.

I am not totally sure but if we are talking about the NVC stage waiting for an interview, I believe the only thing that really expires is the criminal history reports.   I am not sure how long they last for and are probably different by country.  If you are getting close to an interview I would contact the NVC.  But I think they would tell you if you needed something. We just got to this stage so we have a long way to go to hit a year.  I’ll be pissed if we are still waiting for another year trying to get this done.

Hi everyone my case submitted 17 September  2020 and I still didint receive approval. We are sooo tired of waiting. It is over a year and we couldnt even passed stage one. So depressed... Looking up case status and seeing same exact generic text. Is there Anyone still waiting for approval first stage?( FYI married to Us Citizen )

Kader...I can't begin to tell you how broken the USCIS system is.  You are basically at their mercy and really have no recourse.  I was looking at your timeline and you really should be any time now.  We also got transferred from the Nebraska Service Center.  I was going to my Senator, using the Ombudsman.  I liked to think going to the Ombudsman got them to get our file done, but I really don't think anything works.  They are pretty worthless and your time is just when they finally get around to you.  If you haven't gone to the Ombudsman I would at least give it a shot.  I know how frustrating and painful it is watching people that filed months and months after you get signed off and move on.  Just hang in there and know your time is coming soon.

Yes, unfortunately... Everyday checking now hoping I will see something different. Instead I say `of course not, I am not surprised` feels like they abandoned our case. The people applied after us got approved already and I am looking September 2020 filers and I dont see anybody but us that not approved...But believe it or not your message made me feel good. Thank you for that. I hope and believe they will approve sooner than later and will message here the good news instead of my frasturation :)

Is anyone else from the September 2020 filing group still ... waiting?  We progressed to the NVC stage.  Our first filing was in September 2021.  They sent the papers back in December 2021, saying that I needed to write the date in ink next to my signature.  Did that reset the clock for me (another 3 months of ... waiting)?  I'm getting impatient!

Hi, we filed in late October 2021 for the NVC stage and were approved in early February, just over 3 months for the process. I have read that some people who were given an RFE waited another 3 months, but I am not entirely sure. All the best!
