Comments : Beneficiary's earlier pending O1B visa application was approved (April 2021) within 4 weeks of the end of the proposed 3-year tour (May 2021). We were unable to timely receive a O1 visa interview at the closest embassy to our current residence (Madrid). The spousal petition was sent to the Texas Service Center for processing. The USCIS web site indicated at one point that our case had been moved to the Nebraska Service Center, but when we called USCIS they said it had not been moved. Our I-130 was approved on July 22, 2021. Our documents and fees submission to the NVC through the CEAC website was completed on September 29, 2021. The NVC requested additional information from us, a corrected signature page, on December 16, 2021. NVC requested additional information from us, W-2s and 1099s and evidence of beneficiary domicile in the US, March 2022. US citizen has returned to the US to take up a new employment. Our request to expedite the case was approved and the file was transferred to the US Embassy. An interview was scheduled within 3 weeks. The interview went well, but the medical examiner had a problem with the spouse's vaccine record. (They wanted both vaccination dates listed on the record. The EU Covid vaccine record only lists the date that the series of two vaccines was completed, not both vaccination dates.) The consular officer said we would be approved once the medical results were approved. After multiple inquiries to the medical examiner, everything was approved. The visa was received 10 days after the interview.

Hi! If you please share, what grounds did you use to submit the expedite request, it would be quite helpful? Thank You.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
