Being allowed is determined at the POE. Most get in but it just all depends. But yes you can use your tourist visa to enter.

Petitioner has to upload divorce copies yes at NVC. Originals for petitioner not needed at interview.

Case Complete use to be DQ it's the same thing. You have to realize the stats on VJ comes from those who bother to fill out a timeline. I would say maybe half the people on this site bother.

Right now honestly stats mean nothing since March since everything is stopped or slowed so DQ to interview really means nothing. How can say say how long when a embassy isn't even open.

Our 221gs arrived at the embassy yesterday and the status updated to 8/24. Today it updated to 8/25 last accessed but it still says REFUSED.

Im going nuts checking the status every 5 minutes.

My husband just had his interview, his medical has not arrived yet but otherwise he is approved! Btw, we did not bring a DS5540, and they did not ask for one, due to the current court block on the 2019 DOS public charge criteria

Interview today in Amsterdam, successful other than refusal for the medical not in the system yet ( 2 full weeks after the exam).

 

Frustrating, but done.

 

Experience was as most have said, very quick in and out, just a few basic questions about our relationship.

Just go back from the Embassy in Amsterdam.

 

APPROVED!!!!🇺🇸🍾

 

highlights:

* in and out in 30 mins.

* only asked for my DS-260, courier services, passport, pass photo’s, marriage/birth/police certificates

* asked me how me and my hubby met, how serious we were after we met and when he moved in with me.

In France, it is a big square room. People are waiting on chairs in the center of the rooms and the booths are all around.

My husband was able to enter the Embassy, and stay in the waiting area. The itw was on July 22nd.

But I know other couples whose spouses were able to take part in the discussion.

I guess it depends of the Embassy, and of the Consular Officer.

Our NVC expedite was approved last Monday, Aug 17 and the status is still showing "At NVC". I spoke to a NVC customer service representative yesterday who said there is no confirmed timeframe of sending the case once its approved 😕 I'm getting anxious at this point because many people had their cases sent next day or so. Will you guys have any suggestions or is anyone in the same situation?

Has anyone heard of a cancellation of interview a day before? My spouses interview is scheduled for 26AUG at 0830 and he just got an email saying his interview has been cancelled with no reason???
