Just Called NVC Again, Case Still at NVC!! Taking So LONG!!

I am doing k1 visa and my embassy will be in HCMC, vietnam

we got NOA2 on Feb 18th 2020, called and got case number on March 3,

and as of now, it still shows online that my case is at NVC?

What  is taking so long? They ship cases  every other week. It should have sent by now.

I just called them right now and the agent told me they will email me once my case is mailed to the embassy, that all she told me.

Consulate has canceled all interviews for the foreseeable future,  so even if it was in hcmc,  you are still very much in the same situation

YMMV

it takes up to 60 days normally for the case to move from NVC.  Either ways all offices are closed until notice. not much can be done

Yeah dont expect any movement for the foreseeable future. This will most likely last into the summer so being be prepared for a much longer than 2 week wait. Once they get back to work it will take a while to catch up

You should continue living your regular day to day life

Even pre-Covid19, this would have been expected.  Like others have said, don't expect anything to happen for the foreseeable future.  Don't buy a ticket, quit a job, sell a house, etc.

yes, interviews..

NVC can still forward my case to the embassy.

interviews and mailing a case are two different things.

apples vs oranges.

With the on slot of embassy's reducing their staff and day to day functions, couple that with no VJ member is reporting that their case status went to "in transit" yesterday, I can only guess that there will be no shipments until further information is available. This is my opinion and has not been confirmed from any governmental agency, so I put it out there for your edification. I'm heartbroken that I have to report this grim news. Stay strong as we move further into the COVID-19 stages.

But there is no reason to continue to ship cases to embassies -- where there is very limited space to store them -- when they already have a backlog of cases from having to cancel interviews for cases currently there.  That will give them enough cases to start with when interviews start up again, while they then starting shipping new cases.  Why put more people at risk of contracting the virus while processing an in-coming shipment, only to have it just sit around in the new place until ready for further processing, which will likely be several weeks after interviews start again -- giving plenty of time for a new shipment to arrive?  No case will move faster if it's in a box at the embassy or stored at NVC until it can be shipped.
