I called the Military Hotline but I ended up at the N-400 Support Section for Active Duty, which was obviously wrong so they transferred me. But I think you can just call the normal hotline!

Hello all!

my husband received a biometric appt letter just today and appt is on 8/14 near Los Angeles, ca. The letter included for 485 and 765 only.. but not 131. Can he still receive a combo card(EAD) without having the biometic for 131?

When you go there to do the biometrics, take all the recipes and they might take the biometrics for AP as well. Another person had the same situation and they did for everything instead. I'm not sure this will happen but take it and talk to the person at the uscis.

I am active duty and my husband is awaiting his biometrics appointment, do you think we should call and inquire?

You can! I only call the military hotline because it usually has less waiting time than the normal hotline.

You being active duty doesn't expedite your husbands case though, only if you're pcsing overseas or deploying. Seeing as you didn't file until May, you probably have to wait for a little while longer before you get your biometrics letter because from what I've heard they're roughly going in order!

Thanks. We actually filed in April. Yes we expect there to be a delay and I am familiar with the process to expedite.

Yeah I meant the NOA1, as far as I know, they go off of that order..

sadly it’s already been delayed so much because of COVID and it sucks! 😞

Hubby had his appointment today. Was pretty painless. Was in and out within 20 minutes. There were about 5 other people doing biometrics, each doing theirs at separate stations evenly spaced apart. There was a security guard at the door that asks for your appointment letter and passport. At the station they take your photo and then take fingerprint of each finger. Hubby was a tad nervous and was sweating a bit, so the women had to try to take his fingerprint multiple times, but they got it in the end, lol.
