That's entirely presumption, we don't know where he'd go.. whereas the US not being in Iraq means Soleimani isn't killing hundreds of US soldiers in Iraq because there's no US soldiers put there to kill. The AUMF authorized the US government to take him out specifically. Clearly he wasn't much of a priority, despite the havoc he was wreaking all these years, which also speaks to the competency and intent of the Bush administration, and to a degree, the Obama administration.

It's not presumption at all. It's based on his actions over decades, on his current actions, and intel on future actions. We do know where he's been and where he was going and it wasn't pretty. Iraq was just but a very small piece of the puzzle.

I don't contest that a terrorist would do what terrorists do, he's a bad man and won't be missed, but I do contest that those 600+ deaths of American heroes attributed to him would still occur if not for the patently evil decisions by an American President and handful of other people. That Presidents decisions resulted in many, many more deaths of said heroes, than the terrorist's did. While people clearly gave (and still give) him and the others a pass doesn't free them from their responsibility nor my personal contempt for being among humanity's worst.

Democrats Call For Flags To Be Flown At Half-Mast To Grieve Death Of Soleimani

article-5354-1.jpg

WASHINGTON, D.C.—At a press conference held on Capitol Hill Friday, mourning Democrat leaders called for flags to be flown half-mast to honor the death of Qasem Soleimani.

Flags were spotted flying at half-mast around the country, notably at The Washington Post, The New York Times, and in front of several celebrities' homes. The celebrities went out and bought an American flag for the first time just to fly it at half-mast for this important time of grief.

"The grieving process is painful but necessary," said Rep. Ilhan Omar. "As a nation, we need to stop and grieve this great, austere, revered religious scholar. He was one of the good ones."

Kaepernick Accuses Military of ‘Terrorist Attacks,’ Calls Troops Plunderers of the ‘Non White World’

Former NFL quarterback and original anthem protester Colin Kaepernick, accused the United States military of terrorist attacks” against “Black and Brown bodies,” and referred to our nation’s service members as plunderers of the “non white world.”

Kaepernick made the statement on Saturday in a pair of tweets posted on Saturday, in an apparent response to the American attack that killed Iranian IRGC General Qasem Soleimani on Thursday.

Sorry but Marines from 2/7 were within route within 1 hour after the call for assistance. Unlike Benghazi where they requested assistance for 12 hours to no avail even though NAS Sigonella is within 1 hour of flight time away.
