I called USCIS to tell them my petition was sent to NVC but I don't need a migrant visa anymore since I am in the US and doing AOS. They told me to call NVC to tell them. Called NVC today at 7AM and had to wait 1h15 to basically be told to send them an email once I have a case number...Why do we have to do the link between the two institutions!

Update. Got my case number from NVC and sent them an inquiry explaining my situation. According to their website, they are now processing emails from mid-December so I guess I have to wait at least 2 months before hearing back from them...

It seems that a lot of you got their biometrics appointment already, I haven't.

For our story, look at my profile.

How was it?
stupid question, but does my husband have to be there? He’s having oral surgery the day before my biometrics.

Very simple and quick. No need for your spouse to be present. I went by myself on my way home from work.

Did you file I-131 as well? My 485 and 765 have been updated to show fingerprints have been taken but not the 131. I assume this is normal because the 131 wasn’t even on the fingerprint notice (apparently because it’s bunched together with the 765) but just want to make sure.

Quick question, for your biometrics appointment, do you also get an email or only the letter in the mail?

Has anyone else from January not received their appointment yet?

For our story, look at my profile.
