Some of those will not update their status. Some have withdrawn.

Historically, most months top out at somewhere between 2/3 and 3/4 of VJ timelines having a NOA2 date added.

My belief (though without evidence) is that in almost all cases the remainder are people who just didn't update their timelines, though obviously some of that is withdrawn petitions, denials, and cases that for some reason took well longer than average.

@Willowmg

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Hello everyone! So today I finally received the certified copies of my court documents and the police report after waiting a month. The concern im having is that the police report doesn’t seem to be certified and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be also. They sent the documents as pdf files unlike the court documents that were sent in the mail with the court seal. Anyone know if the police report has to be certified also? And another thing when I update my timeline do I put the date i sent back the RFE or the day they receive it? Thank you!

Yes a certified copy is required. The date for the timeline can be either, date submitted by you or receipt date received by USCIS. Either is fine.

I have the certified copies of the court documents but the police report came in a pdf. For them to be certified they would have to be mailed and have some kind of stamp on them? I specified to the police records ppl that I needed certified copies and they said they will be certified but I don’t see how when it’s electronic. The rfe doesn’t really specify and say certified police report, they said they need the “certified court documents and police report “

Based on reading the RFE it doesn't say directly that the police reports need to be certified as it does for the court documents. Therefore, I believe you will be fine with what you have.  Wrap it up and send it on. Good luck and stay engaged.

My case was approved earlier this week, no RFE. I sent certified court paperwork, and just photocopies of all the police stuff I could find from my DUI 14 years ago. The ticket, the BAC test, non-certified, just photocopies.
