Comments : My flight had been delayed from Buenos Aires so once I got there I was sent straight to the window.
The first officer was really polite and nice he requested all the documents asked some questions and then directed me to secondary.
There were only three other people there so I was called after 15 minutes. Unfortunately there was a system problem so it took a little bit more time and I had to take another connection flight because I lost mine. Do plan to have more than 2 hours if you are connecting somewhere.
The officer in secondary was super nice and helpful. Overall an amazing experience.

Embassy Review : The staff was amazing and everything went smoothly.

Things to keep in mind from my experience:
-read the email and instructions sent carefully, you will only need what they mention there. Dont bring any other copies or documents not requested.
-don’t forget the originals; the interview is the time to present those.
- if you have a question send an email, don’t call, the people answering the phone are not from the IV section.
Rating : Very Good

Hello! I just checked your timeline and I have a question. Did the Buenos Aires Embassy schedule your interview? How did it happen? I'm also waiting on a K1 visa

Hi! I requested an expedited request via Congressional representative, my fiancé is active duty, so I’m sure that’s why it got approved. Once the case gets to Buenos Aires it should be scheduled. But beware that the Embassy has gone back to only emergency cases because of COVID so it may take a while to get scheduled.

Hello, We are also a couple waiting to get the K1 visa out of the embassy in Argentina. A couple of questions, if you don't mind (would be so helpful!) + How long did it take for the Buenos Aires Embassy to send you the materials once the NVC sent your papers (we've been waiting more than a month)? As in, was your delay in getting he visa processed by the embassy or in scheduling the interview? + Did your congressional representative help to get you through USCIS/NVC or also with the embassy? + Anything else you did to try to expedite the Buenos Aires side of things? Thank you so so much!

Hi! After the congressional was approved the visa section contacted me with all the information. If your case was sent with a congressional I recommend you contact them to their email buenosaires-iv@state.gov If your case was sent regularly i understand they are only scheduling emergency cases so they wont contact you until the situation changes. I would check on their instagram page there is videos of how the visa processing is working right now.
