Hi all,

I filed my N-400 on November 26, 2019 and completed biometrics on December 4, 2019. I have been on the waiting list for an interview at the Washington DC office since January 2020. The "countdown" to action feature on the MyUSCIS website reached 0 days earlier this month. My estimated case completion time still says August 2020, which seems unrealistic.

I'd be grateful to know whether any other November 2019 filers in the Washington DC catchment area have received notification of interview date (even if it was later cancelled due to CV-19). It seems like many November 2019 filers allocated to other field offices have had interviews and even been naturalized by now, but the wait in DC seems much longer.

Thank you,

Sarah

Many are still waiting....even as far back as July 2019 because they've gotten RFEs or some other issue that caused a delay.

Also, if you haven't yet, you can join the November filers thread here:

Of course it's ok to be outside of the US while awaiting processing.  We will be doing the same  starting mid-July.  Life must go on.  Just can't stay at home waiting and waiting.

Thats awesome!!! I wish I knew that in March😔 I heard a lot of stories that they were asking to many question why you were outside of US and other staff. Thank You

Apparently USCIS just wanted to play with my emotions. The letter just dropped into my husband's account. His interview has been rescheduled (third time) for the exact same date and time as the one they canceled last week. So in theory our interview is July 13th.

I know! I am trying not to get too excited. To make things even weirder there are two new letters in our account. One that states our interview has been canceled (third time) and another that says our interview has been scheduled. The scheduled letter is on the top and our status says "Interview was Scheduled." So we're working off that one and preparing for an interview in about a week and a half.

Anybody combo filers here?

Called USCIS and was told it takes 18-26mo for i751. I filed Nov 2018 and still nothing. N400 is pending and they told me they couldn’t process N400 until my i751 is approved. I’m already losing hope.

i saw some people who filed i751 June 2019 and already have their green card. I’m really regretting filing combo.

Did you submit service request online?

I'm combo filer and have N-400 interview in 3 weeks, can't bring husband with me as they don't allow anyone to go in with you so I'll see how it will turn out.

We're a combo filers. My husband applied for i-751 in December 2018 and N400 in December 2019. We will be having a combo interview on July 13th if it doesn't get canceled again.

I couldn’t file a service request because it says I’m still in the normal processing time. How did you file a service request?

Is your husband not going with you? I am planning to go and if they don't let me in I will wait outside. I know they have approve his green card before they will approve his citizenship and for us that will require an interview which I have to be at.

I’m so jealous! I filed i751 in Nov 2018 and N400 in Dec 2019. My USCIS office is in Seattle. I guess i just really have a very bad luck. My extension letter is expiring and there’s no guarantee that I’ll get a stamp before it expires.
