I’m so jealous! I filed i751 in Nov 2018 and N400 in Dec 2019. My USCIS office is in Seattle. I guess i just really have a very bad luck. My extension letter is expiring and there’s no guarantee that I’ll get a stamp before it expires.

Keep in mind it all has to do with processing times at different offices. One thing to consider with the extension letter. We called USCIS last week when our interview was canceled for the second time. We asked what we should do if we don't have our interview before the extension letter expires. They told us to call back 30 days before the letter expires and they will send a new one. I don't know if that is true, but worth trying.

Is your husband not going with you? I am planning to go and if they don't let me in I will wait outside. I know they have approve his green card before they will approve his citizenship and for us that will require an interview which I have to be at.

No it said on the paper you couldn't bring anyone with you to the interview. He'll be in the car with my son and two dogs so he can come in on get on the phone if they wish to talk to him.

Hopefully not but looks like you are Seattle office so you are most likely in for a long wait.

I was told to call 10days before it expires to see if they’ll give me an appointment for the stamp. But that appointment isn’t guaranteed either. They said they will judge if they consider it emergency, then they’ll give me an appointment for the stamp.

At least he will be there if needed. Like I said I will be there and if they don't let me in that's fine. I would just hate to delay things because I am not there when I should be. Before COVID we received a letter for the I-751 interview and that one said I am required to be there.

Apparently USCIS just wanted to play with my emotions. The letter just dropped into my husband's account. His interview has been rescheduled (third time) for the exact same date and time as the one they canceled last week. So in theory our interview is July 13th.

It's things like these that make me wonder if you can sue the DHS and USCIS for emotional distress 🙄

I would suggest requesting to speak to a Tier 2 officer. Unfortunately, most of the regular agents can only provide scripted responses because that's the info they are allowed to share.

No kidding. I just want to be done. I know our case isn't as bad as some, but this is our 4th and final petition. K1 (denied in 2015), CR1 (approved in 2017), ROC (pending) and N400 (pending). Depending on when my husband's oath ceremony is we will be close to 6 years of going through immigration stuff. I am ready to delete this large file on my computer called "Visa Evidence" and shred all the paper documentation that is in our "immigration" drawer.

Yes....this is true. Some are waiting since June of last year and as far back as 2018 for combo so I remind myself that mine isn't quite as bad 😕

I am pretty sure we've killed a small forest with the amount of paper we've submitted over the years.

Just saw a post from a member of the N400 Facebook group who had his interview today at downtown LA.

He did his interview.......passed with flying colors.......got his same day Oath ceremony.....had an initial name change request on his application......got his name changed BEFORE they printed out his certificate....all WITHOUT a judicial ceremony! :o

So it just goes to show that USCIS can do all these things but they choose to go against the grain and make life difficult for most everyone trying to get out of the immigration process 😕 😕
