I see one person on VJ got their interview date today and another on a Facebook group I'm on so NVC is issuing October interviews 😱

I saw that, too. Gives me a little hope. Hope to see some more ILs here soon!

I just got DQ yesterday for Australia so I know we have to wait for some time but are hoping for an October interview - chance is probably a fine thing but I can always hope :). Anyone out there for the Sydney consulate waiting for an IL?

A few questions

1. Is it common for the NVC to ask for the same documents over and over again?  My friend has submitted certain documents, which were approved, and then received a request for them again online.

2. How long after being documentarily qualified would one expect to get the invitation to do the medical?  Is the medical exam coordinated by the NVC or the embassy?

1. If documents were submitted and approved (and they received the "thanks your case is complete and being forwarded to xxx embassy" then I would call NVC and clarify why they are asking for repeat documents.

2. After document qualification/case completion you will be in line for your Embassy to receive an interview letter. They can run between 1mo-6mo or more (check stats for your Embassy or other similar timelines). Once the letter is received then YOU will call to schedule interview and biometric appt (might be fine online now) about 2wks before interview.

Question. Does the NVC send out case files to the respective consulates first, BEFORE an IL date is issued?

I've just contacted my consulate. And that's what they've told me. They need to have the case on hand first before they can issue an interview date. What?

Dhaka, Bangladesh. Things just aren't adding up. Is my consulate wrong? If they are expecting the case to arrive FIRST, and the NVC are sat in their chairs waiting for interview dates, nothing is ever going to happen is it?

I have a question, who typically receives the interview letter? Petitioner, beneficiary or our lawyer? Or do we all get one? 😳

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.  What an AWESOME God! To Him alone be ALL the glory and praise.

VISA APPROVED, on the early hour of today (Sep. 11).

Embassy ; Lagos, Nigeria.

Folks, the nightmares of the waiting game is gone and gone forever! ( Lesson learnt here, "BE PATIENT ").

However, to those on this podium, who have surprisingly waited longer than expected, pls don't give up, your successes are much closer to you than thought. Remember, a delay is never a denial. (Things happen for a reason).

GOD WILL SEE YOU THROUGH AND YOU WILL SURELY TESTIFY IJN.

Thanks a million visa journey, THUMBS UP!!!

Congratulations to you

Congratulations,

I'm from Australia as well.

Just did my interview on Tuesday and was thankfully approved. Waiting for our passports to be sent to us.

All the best for everyone in this journey.
