Consulate Review: Mumbai, India
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : February 18, 2020
Embassy Review : Interview went smoothly. Appt. time was scheduled for 7:30am. My husband selected English for the interview, so unfortunately we had to wait around 3 hours for them to get through all of the interviews using translators. We had been told this would happen.

I had a ton of proof at i-130 stage, and submitted more at NVC stage, so we knew it would be a fairly easy interview.

Questions:
Are his parents ok with our age difference? how do they feel about it? (they love her! )
What does he currently do for employment? (currently unemployed)
where did he work for last job? (described position and title)
What high school did he attend? (odd question since he is college graduate)
What is the age difference between you and your spouse? (I am 20 years older than my husband and Caucasian)
How many times has your spouse visited you? (9 visits/5 years)
Do you have photos?

Visa approved
Rating : Good

Finally...I am stick in shock. Had to call a Tier 2 to find out I am approved!! Such a long painful journey. My K3 denial came in a text message and email, but I had to call USCIS about the i-130 since it did not show any change on both websites and tracker.  I-130     PD: 09/18/18 - Approved 8/20/19 I-129F   PD: 07/02/19 - Denied 8/21/19

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
