Code 3 (fingerprinting all 10 fingers+photo+sign) is a combination of both, when USCIS wants to get a security check done on you as well as generate card.

Hi , Did you get the interview appointment now? My case has been roughly following your timelines

Today was my biometrics appointment. It itself just took 2 minutes but had to sit and wait there as there were many people sitting before me. I did the signature, photograph and finger prints( right hand index and middle finger).

 Congratulations! It’s so fast , isn’t??

I got my NOA about 3 weeks ago , and I see USPS notifications about another letter from immigr. It must be biometrics!! 😻😉

I wonder why some people like us get it so fast , and others need to wait months ?

I totally agree. The first step(extension letter and biometrics) is really fast. Now we just sit and wait. The whole process takes too long may be that  is why they do the first step faster so atleast people have the extension letter and can travel.

Good morning!

I am a September filer! Our package was received at USCIS on September 9th and it's now November 6th and we STILL have not received a biometrics appointment. Should I be worried? Our case number begins with WAC and we sent our package to the Phoenix Service Center.

We sent it September 23rd.

But as long as I have the extension letter I’m fine. I’m not stressing about this anymore.

I was getting worried about not having received a biometrics letter yet but I see that I'm not alone. I guess the Potomac service center works a little slower.

I sent mine in Sep 6 - it's now been 3 months and still no biometrics letter. It's weird because for AOS, I got my biometrics letter within a month of sending the package in. 🤷‍♂️

N-400 Application for Naturalization

Day    00 - 08/31/20 - Submitted online N-400 application. ROC still pending. Requested combo interview.

Day    01 - 09/01/20 - NOA received online. Status says biometrics appt letter will be sent. (PD 08/31/20)

Day  141 - 01/20/21 - Biometrics reuse letter

Day  233 - 04/22/21 - ROC approved, no news on N-400

Day  288 - 06/18/21 - Interview scheduled

Day  332 - 07/30/21 - Successful interview. No decision yet.

Day 758  - 09/28/22 - Oath ceremony will be scheduled

Day 870 - 01/18/23 - Oath ceremony complete
