Just called USCIS since it's been a month and no NOA 1. They said they'll file a service request and it'll be 30 days before it gets looked at. So, potentially 30 days for them to look at the request, and then potentially another 30 days to receive the NOA 1. Meanwhile, my husband has an expired license and cannot legally drive. I love this process :protest:

Why don’t you guys try to get the passport stamped? That’s what I have been trying and now awaiting for a call back from USCIS to schedule my infopass.
Let’s see how that works out haha

I honesty didn't even think about 😓 we're just beyond frustrated. They verified the address they sent it to and it was correct so I'm wondering where did it go. Good luck on your end with USCIS! Talking to them is like talking to a wall 😂

Tell me about it haha. Getting thus far took me forever and yet and I haven’t gotten the chance to schedule the appointment yet lol.

I would honestly try to schedule an Infopass.  If you show them that having no license can lead to any kind of hardship, this might be sufficient reason for them to call you in.

How do you go about scheduling an infopass appointment? Can I do that online or do I have to call someone at USCIS? We may just do this because it is causing a hardship and it's quite ridiculous. I'm sorry some of us are having such an issue with this.

It is far more fun during the K1 visa process after getting married and the non-US Citizen changing name with a commercial drivers license...

I went a full month with an expired license because DMV refused to accept my documents because name didn't match social security card,/database and only way to fix that was with the actual work permit...

Ugh, that sounds awful. I'm sorry you had to deal with that. My husband is the non citizen so we didn't experience that, but I guess we're making up for it now 😅

They don’t make it this easy for you I’m afraid lol.

1. Call USCIS and make them aware of the situation. If this agent feels your complaint is sufficient enough for e.g. an Infopass, they will ask you for your contact details. Then you’re told another agent from the USCIS Service Center im charge of you will call within 48-72 hrs.

2. If the agent calls you back and also thinks your reason is sufficient, he‘ll schedule the Infopass appointment.

3. Go get the stamp at the appointment and pray to God they don’t come up with another BS to refuse service.

Why do I feel like I'm in for a bad time no matter what lol. We called USCIS today and only spoke to the normal customer service reps who put in a service request, so I'm assuming I would request a tier 2 representative and then explain the situation or wait for a call back. What a nightmare!

Totally true. With them it’s like talking to an airline representative. Most of them ####### but there are some good ones. Just gotta find the needle in the haystack.

Here I am again with anxiety again creeping out the mail lady every day lol. I am glad she recognizes the mails I receive and even if it is past her duty time she will come knock at my door because she knows how stressful and important these things from USCIS is for me LOL.

My window opened on september 11th and I received the mail on the 17th and sent the files on October 1st,  it was delivered on Oct 3rd and now the waiting kills me every day😂😥

I forgot to add a weird phone call that I received today, I could barely understand saying that I need to take action on something and that they needed my SSN. I know it is a scam so I am leaving the phone number here in case someone gets it too. 888 -704-0882
