    Case status also changed to rfe but nothing under the documents.

    Received an email and a text message from USCIS saying an action has been taken on my case. Logged in to my account to find approval notice under the documents tab. The case status still shows actively reviewing and progress still shows taking longer. I-130 filed online for parent. Date filed : 04/11/2023 Approved : 04/16/2024

    Hi I have filed I-130 for my mother. After the petition is approved and moved to NVC, can I change the embassy? (Same country but different city).

    To all those who are already DQ, did you submit tax for 1 or 3 years? Was it the return or transcript? W2s for 1 year or 3years? What other financial document did you submit other than this? In my case I am the petitioner and the sole sponser.

    They sent in a confirmation after 4 months saying it was processed.

    So she filed I-407 and returned her expired green card. After 4 months they sent a confirmation that it was processed. Now that being out of the way, I am filing I-130 for her. There is a question asking if she has an A- number and social Security. Should I write yes for the A number or no because gc was returned? Would she be a assigned a new number? And about ssc, she does not remember if she got one last time or not. Even if she did, she probably lost it. So should I write no or write yes and say it was lost?

    The online status just updated to oath with be scheduled. Interview was on Jan 25th. Now waiting for the date.

    I had my interview yesterday. The officer just saw the green card and asked the test questions. He said I did not have a look at your file and it is heavy so I will have a look at it later and that is it.

    Thats what I feel like.. its a long process and she cant explain her long absence and if she is denied the re-entry at POE then why go through the hassle. Looks like she abondoned her status.. and if I were to use that option may be I should have done 5 years ago to try luck.. but since now I am close to getting the citizenship I can petition for her the right way..
