Here I am again with anxiety again creeping out the mail lady every day lol. I am glad she recognizes the mails I receive and even if it is past her duty time she will come knock at my door because she knows how stressful and important these things from USCIS is for me LOL.

My window opened on september 11th and I received the mail on the 17th and sent the files on October 1st,  it was delivered on Oct 3rd and now the waiting kills me every day😂😥

I forgot to add a weird phone call that I received today, I could barely understand saying that I need to take action on something and that they needed my SSN. I know it is a scam so I am leaving the phone number here in case someone gets it too. 888 -704-0882

Good luck with the ROC process!

Re: SSN phone calls, I received 5 of them within 2 hours; it was from 5 different 1-800 numbers. They're relentless. By the second call I get quite nervous because 'what if...' Especially this happened soon after I mailed a detailed form and private informations to the government. But I did some reading online and found the following articles:

1. from Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2019/07/08/no-thats-not-government-calling-threatening-suspend-your-social-security-number/

2. and from the Federal Trade Commissionon: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/2018/12/what-social-security-scam-sounds

Good luck everyone.

Wow thank you J.

Yeah that "what if" was in my head too but I had to slap myself to think straight. Generally the phone calls I receive is from the so called "jobs agency" saying that they have a position near my location but once they ask me if I am a U.S Citizen and I say NO, they hang up on my face. lol Oh well guess I will never get a job then if it keeps going like this.

Just got all my files sent back saying it wasn't on the time yet. So why the hell did they send me a letter saying it was in the first place? Go figure.

The letter doesn’t say you need to or can immediately file for ROC. Already the second sentence of it specifically states BOLDED „(...)you are required to file form I-751, during the 90-day period immediately before the date your two-year conditional permanent resident card expires.“ and in the first sentence they say when you were granted the permanent resident status. That is pretty straight forward in my opinion.

Sorry you have to deal with this though!

Received our biometrics appointment letter today!  The notice was dated 10/4 but we didn't receive it until 10/15, and the appointment is for 10/24...not very much notice at all!  The ASC is over an hour away and the appointment is for 11 AM (inconvenient to leave work in the middle of the day for us, early morning or later afternoon would be more convenient), so we're both very lucky that we can afford to take time off work to go.  Very aware how lucky we are and how many people don't have that flexibility.

Excited to see that things are moving along, at least, although we anticipate a long wait between completing biometrics and hearing back about the interview/approval!

Hello,

Congrats and good luck! Does the USC also need to get a biometric test performed? Or only the beneficiary / petitioner?

Thanks.
