Hi folks,

I am in a similar boat with everyone else here: July 2019 filer for mom and dad. Haven't heard from USCIS since changed address (still under Texas Service Center).

I looked through this part of forum and noticed that May/June 2019 petitions started getting touched. (At least for Potomac and Texas Center). For those in Nebraska the wait is a bit longer - that's my understanding after reading posts of various users.

Also I learned that besides I-130 fees, there will be additional expenses for those going through consular processing:

1) after USCIS approves I-130, there will be around $450 bucks fee for immigration visa and adjustment of status combined

2) medical exam costs around $200 and most likely to be paid by beneficiary in the country of current residence

3) after immigration interview approval and upon issued immigration visa, there will be another $220 fee to cover GC production costs, and processing of the case that goes between USCIS and Department of State back-and-forth.

So altogether, you are looking at the expense under $700 for a person after I-130 has been approved.

If you know anything, have any updates, or more information, please share with us!

Good luck to all of us and our close ones.

I filled july 4 2019 and received an email regarding NCV case number.

What service center have you filed with? When did you get your I-130 approved by USCIS? Just trying to understand the gap between I-130 approval and case being forwarded to NVC

Texas is my service center. I was approved early december. I waited about 6weeks before receiving an email from NVC. Still researching the next step.

Thank you for prompt response and good luck! If you get a chance, please post any new updates here.

You seem to be ahead of everyone else; and your timeline sharing is more helpful than you may know!

Thank you again.

Hello, wanted to post an update. Just got approvals for parents, mom on the 24th and dad today. Hopefully they will connect at NVC. PD was July 25th in Texas.
