Mother in Law approved and coming to US

Besides her passport and visa, does she need to bring anything else to the airport? She needed her marriage certificate and birth certificate to her interview, will the CBP officer require those documents too when she lands in the US? Please let me know.

I find it really strange that she needed a marriage and birth certificate for a tourist visa interview? Was there some special reason why she had to show that?

Why were those needed for a tourist visa?  Those docs are not required in the US as she is coming to visit. 

 

I don't carry my MC/BC when I travel on vacation.

My parents visited on tourist visas, no docs were needed at POE. Just passport with visa. Safe travels.

Who knows; they've already considered changing the length of visit from 2-mo (declared on ds160) to 4-mo after visa issued.

just that some people will tell her to keep all her important papers together 

and to bring the birth certificate with her in case she needs any medical attention in the US while visiting

moroccans often listen to other Moroccans instead of finding out from a reliable source 

every time i asked "what are we doing next?"

i was told "i'll call a friend and ask"

i wanted to rent a car at the airport but no,  they knew where to get one cheaper / and this meant taking a taxi of 6 passengers for a 2 hour trip to get a car and same to return it

when marrying i had the info from the embassy site and still "i will call a friend and ask

so,  this woman listened to a friend and took the documents to the interview when all she needed was her National ID and passport

USCIS called me when my MIL arrived at the airport and asked me some questions.  She suggested I write a letter of invitation next time, so I forward this to you.

?? I got admitted to ER on a B visit once. I just needed an official ID, a passport is all she needs.

 

some people have reported being asked for proof of ties to home (job letter etc), I never was asked but I know of others who were.
