Congratulations!!! But 4 years and 4 months wait is crazy and I thought we were worse. My wife filed I-751 and N-400 in May 2019 and May 2020 respectively so 3 year wait next month. Is there any reason why your case was significantly delayed outside the 3 year processing time? Can you share your field office? Thank you

I think he got his permanent residence 4 years and 4 months ago, if anything, his application got processed incredibly fast.

Interview completed!

Scheduled time for appointment was 9:55am. We arrived for 15 minutes early as requested and waited till nearly 11am to be called. We were out the door 7 minutes later. Very laid back gentleman swore us in, asked why I had 2 different first names (going through name change) and if we had anything new we wanted to present. We gave only this years filed taxes and last years house refinance and car purchase. The remainder of the time was spent with him explaining what happens next.

By the time we reached our car my text dinged to "card being produced".

Filed November 2019 and interview was at Orlando office. Interview was ready to be scheduled February 2021 and was scheduled for today in the beginning of March 2022.

Being over prepared made us feel better but I now look forward to saving memories by choice and not necessity!

Good Luck to Everyone

Congrats

Our timelines is very similar: filed i-751 in May 2019 and N-400 in June 2020 and both were approved September 2021.  I hope you hear something soon.

I-130 (for parents of US Citizens):

8/19/2022: NOA (IOE0917XXXXXX); Texas Service Center

7/22/2023: Both (parents) petitions approved

7/27/2023: Both cases sent to NVC

8/8/2023: Received NVC welcome email for both parents

Hopefully soon thanks. I spoke to USCIS level 2 customer service and they contacted San Francisco field office for an update  that I was to receive by email in 30 days. I called again yesterday after 48 days and level one customer service said they see an update indicating that we will have a combo interview which is good thing as there is some update. Even online n400 status is saying now I am delayed 😆 I have submitted FOIA and will get the response next month (I heard from forum that this somehow trigger an interview). So next months finger crossed I feel we will get som good news. Thanks for sharing and we'll wishes 🙏

Ah no, so 4 years 4 months from day my wife and I married and started the whole process to now. I filed I-751 in Jan 2021 and my N400 in Jan 2022. My case moved very quickly here in Los Angeles County. Chatsworth, CA was my field office and they are really great and efficient and move really fast compared to most.

Our i751 has been pending since May 2020 it was transferred to the National Benefits Center in December 2020 for faster processing, no updates since then on our online account. We have never got a notice that an interview is ready to be scheduled.  As a K1 & AOS green card recipient and the i751 case originally sent to the California Service Center we were not expecting an interview.

Now we have an interview schedule for our pending n400 naturalization May 16th. No word on the i751 case as of yet so I am expecting a combo i751/n400 interview, really hoping for a joint i751/n400 interview at our appointment.

Both of us will be at the Sacramento USCIS field office ready for a combo interview on May 16th. The US citizen spouse will be on standby to join the immigrant spouse for an impromptu joint i751 interview if needed.

Let me know how things go, I'm also msc and Sacramento field office

How long did you guys wait from your case was received/transferred until you got to do the biometrics?

I filed end of August 2021 (Texas SC) and got transferred to MCS 12/2 2021. Nothing since then. Does it depend on you location? I’m in the Dallas, TX area.

Also, anyone who knows why there’s no processing time for this SC? Just curious:) I’m planning on filing the N-400 in November and hopefully it’s a smooth process.

From what I have read, NBC does background checks on applications then forwards to local offices. So they do not technically process the cases with a goal of adjudication, hence no processing time. Maybe things have changed now? I see plenty of I-751s re-routed to NBC for faster processing.

Got an update about a service inquiry we made in October 7 months ago for our i751 case being outside of processing time at our original processing center (WAC). We have an interview scheduled for Monday for an n400 interview and I was a bit concerned that we did not get any notice about our pending i751 which was moved to NBC December 2020 and radio silence since, not even your case was ready to be scheduled for an interview nothing; until the response to the service inquiry.

It looks like we will in fact have a combo interview for our i751 and n400.

Here is the response that was emailed to us about a week ago from the Sacramento Field office.

Hey y'all,

My husband and I are reaching out to y'all of this thread because we just received transfer notice today via mail. The letter states that they have "completed a preliminary review of the application or petition ('your case') listed above. As part of standard processing, we transferred your case to the USCIS office listed below that has jurisdiction over your case."

They transferred it to the National Benefits Center. We have been at the SRC since June 2021. I was hope for an eventual approval. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?

Another VJ user said potential 'faster processing' times in order to reduce work loads on other service centers. Additionally, we just submitted my husband's N400 and that was when we were transfered. Does this also mean that we get placed at the bottom of the pile?
