No... are we supposed to logging service requested now?

No idea and I have not seen anyone send a service request.

We actually did. We logged 2 service requests because we didn't receive anything regarding biometrics (whether they would be reused or we'd need new ones). The second one was in July and we were told we'd receive correspondence by 8/1, but instead we received the biometrics letter on 8/15.

I don't know if the service requests helped move the case along or not. There are still no case updates since 3/14 "Your case has been transferred to your local office"

Of course!

Go to the new USCIS website and log in. Under Resources click Ask About Missing Mail. Then click Non-Delivery of Notice. From there just fill in the blanks and explain what notice you are missing. We wrote something along the lines of "We received out NOA1 on 3/4/19 and our case was transferred to NBC on 3/14. We have not received our biometric appointment letter yet. Can you please send this? Thank you".

The first time we did the request in May we never heard back from them and ended up calling USCIS to inquire about the status. We spoke to a tier 2 officer who said that once they get closer to making a decision on your case, they'll send out the biometrics notice because they expire after 5 months (however I thought fingerprints expired after 15 months). I believe that was in in June she told us to wait and put in another service request if we haven't received the appointment by by September. They did send out a duplicate notice of the case transfer, but that was it.

Then we went ahead and put in another service request in July because so many others were receiving their biometrics appointment.

Good luck!

Hello Everyone.  I have a few questions I thought maybe you could help me with.  I'm on hold for USCIS now.

We filed for ROC and our petition was received 03/27/19.  We received the 18 month extension letter.  The receipt/case number starts with LIN.  What service center is that?

Also, we have not heard a word since receiving the extension letter.  I get email updates of processing times.  I have attempted to review our case status online and by telephone with USCIS and all I get in that our receipt # is not found.  I went to that link to register awhile back but still every time I try to check it says case # not found.  Should I be worried?  Are we supposed to have a biometric appointment?

Hi!

LIN is Nebraska service center. We filed ROC 3/12/19 (date received at the Arizona lockbox) and received the 18 month extension letter on 3/18/19. We've heard nothing since then (no biometrics appt and no updates). We are able to find our case status online … simply states that case received; no updates.

Same here, and I'd rather they waive biometrics and interview, so not really concerned or requesting service for that.

I have no idea if they will waive either of those, but if there's a chance of avoiding flying over to Honolulu, it's worth it.

Hubby just finished biometrics. We tried to do a walk in last Wednesday, but they weren't accepting any for that day :(

He went in at 8:11 and was out around 9:13. His original appointment was for 12:00.

Also, I just realized that the petitioner number was the one for our old case (the one that was rejected because it arrived too early). However his A# and service center (NBC) are correct. Should I be worried that they might get confused (this is USCIS were talking about)? Hubby is going back to talk with them to make sure his fingerprints are added under SRC and not EAC.

Per the fingerprint place, they said they can't change the case number to make it SRC and we can either wait and see if he'll get be issued another fingerprint notice with SRC or we can call the 800 number and speak with them regarding the above. We'll call the 800 number on Thursday to verify that they will be added to the SRC case.

And just when I thought things were moving smoothly

Same here, and I'd rather they waive biometrics and interview, so not really concerned or requesting service for that.

I have no idea if they will waive either of those, but if there's a chance of avoiding flying over to Honolulu, it's worth it.

Biometrics are valid for 15 months. So the absolute majority in this thread will have to go for a biometrics appointment.

That means we'll probably have to repeat ours as well, but we're happy to wait until they request them.

Nebraska that's right.  LIN Lincoln.  Thank you.

I was able to speak with two people at USCIS.   FIrst one told me she couldn't find anything so we have probably been rejected. Rejected for what?  I sent everything needed, my check was cashed, and I got extension letter and nothing else since then.  No rejection letter.   Hung up and called back again.  Second person Isaac found everything said its all find, not sure why our case number is not linked with our file but knows they have been having issues with that.  He assured me no reason to worry.  So I guess that is where we are at for now.  I'll keep waiting.

Thank you for your response.
