Just to summarize based on responses by Service centers: please correct me if I'm wrong

Vermont Service Center (EAC) - Biometrics done for most but no movement after that

National Benefits Center (MSC) - Most people have for interview requests already (within 2 months of submission?)

Texas Service Center (SRC) - Most people have not heard anything since submission, not even bio-metrics request (from my experience, SRC uses old bio-metrics so you guys should not worry)

California Service Center (WAC) - I've not heard many people submitted from WAC here, please respond whats the latest if your application went here.

Potomac Service Center (YSC) - I've not heard many people submitted from YSC here, please respond whats the latest if your application went here.

I recently saw an update on workload transfers by USCIS: https://www.uscis.gov/workload-transfers

They have moved a lot of Vermont I-751 cases to Potomac Service center, have a look.

I still have not received any biometrics. All we got was a text of the extension. But no mail that it was extended. Should I be worried? It’s June now.

I know a friend who filed at SRC, they are mostly re-using old biometrics. so you might get a letter that they wont even need a new BM appointment. but keep a tab on it.

Helpful summary, thank you! I'm EAC and can confirm I've had biometrics done but no movement since then. Haven't been informed of any transfer to Potomac either.

Our case is being serviced by SRC. We inquired about the lack of a biometrics appointment via phone call. A ticket was opened and a few weeks later we received a letter stating that they are reusing our previous bio-metrics. It seems the local service centers here in Houston are no longer accepting appointments for anything including biometrics. The letter also stated that even though they are not getting new biometrics and that we paid for them, the money will not be refunded.

We submitted an e-request in May that was never answered regarding biometrics and we called and finally got a hold of Officer Caldwell (Tier 2). She told us that because it is taking so long to approve applications they will not send out biometric notices until the office is close to making a decision (interview, RFE, card production, etc.). HOWEVER, I know there are numerous cases that have already had biometrics or received a letter stating that they will reuse them.

We're going to call next week, because we're unable to submit any new requests as the old one is still pending. Hopefully we'll receive a letter soon stating they are reusing biometrics.

It seems it takes about 8 months to know if you would need to do a biometrics or they would be re-using your old ones.

Do USCIS give Wet Ink I-551 stamp for travel, as my friend was not allowed to board a Luftansa flight from Mumbai to US because they were having the I-797 NOA extension letter as proof of valid Green card.
