I sent my RFE response yesterday.  Luckily it was an easy one (I missed a check box when I transferred to the updated form) so I hope we an update within a couple of weeks.

That's great news!  And @Greenbaum and I are psychic.  :-)

Things have been pretty quiet in here for the past couple of days.  Has anyone received an approval or a response to an RFE?

Still waiting on my response. According to the old website, my RFE was received July 16th, and the new website says July 17th. So just over a week now, either way.

I received a text and email last night that my RFE has been received.  It was interesting because the postal tracking showed it was only delivered yesterday so this was a nice surprise to see the case is already updated.

Normal turn around time is 2-3 weeks to finish the adjudication of your case. Just a little longer and you should see your case approval.

That's reassuring to hear, thank you. I try not to check the WAC too much these days.

Something happened the other day that really put things in perspective for me:

We are waiting for an attorney in Venezuela to have a document notarized and shipped to my fiancée in Panama.  We were expecting the document to arrive this week, and my fiancée hadn't been able to get in contact with the attorney in Venezuela (she is normally very responsive).

It turns out that there was an electrical blackout in the entire country for almost two days, and everything came to a screeching halt in the country.

I couldn't help but think about the people who didn't have backup generators, had food spoiling in the refrigerator, couldn't get to work, had no air conditioning, hot water, etc.  That's on top of the turmoil that they were already experiencing.

Needless to say, that document became a little less important in my mind.

I doubt that halt was that screeching. I mean, I must at least have brownouts all the time over there at least. Two days without power though is insane. Especially for how precarious things already are in Venezuela. I'm glad your fiance is at least not there right now.

According to the tracking on my RFE, it arrived at the USCIS two days ago, but I still haven't gotten the receipt for it. Anyone know typically how long it takes to acknowledge it's received?

I mailed mines in on the 23rd and they got it on the 25th and notified me via new and old website case status alerts

Honestly, it is when you stop checking when you actually hear something. It will come.

Congrats, bud! You barely made it as a June NOA2!

Thanks man, I really appreciate it. We already scheduled the interview for August 20th. Full sail ahead lol. I am super aggressive with my timeline, but I have nothing to loose lol.

"Not sure why the RFE took so long ,it was just a wrong passport photo size" Sometimes something that you think is simple is not as it's like any other document that is requested of others using the RFE route (court cases, missing passport scans, divorce documents etc). Your answer to the RFE gets sent back to the same adjudicator and when he/she works through her/his workload and arrives back to your file then they complete their task. You will not get priority based on how simple something is.

The PSA in the Philippines is notorious for misspellings and missing information on birth certificates. You should look over your BC to make sure everything is correct as well as your passport. Now is the time to get that corrected. You might want to get a copy of your NBI to see if there are any problems with it. Again, now is a better time to get it corrected if you find something wrong. Be sure to use all your AKA's when they do the search. Make sure your passport doesn't expire any time before a year from now as this is a long process and you could be running around getting a new one at the last minute. So get it renewed if it is expiring in 2019.

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.
