For those who have just filed your I-129f application with USCIS, this thread has been created for your needs and to be with others experiencing different aspects of this journey. Good luck because this is a long process currently running 5-6 months from filing date for your NOA2 approval.

We sent out the package March 1st and our tracking number shows it was delivered today! What an exercise in patience this already is... We also noticed after sending the package that instead of "191" we put "19" in the Beneficiary's mailing address (it's different from physical address). Hoping this isn't a huge issue and after reading through a bunch of threads, we're planning on calling to change it after we get our NOA1. If anyone has any other suggestions/methods of correcting, we're all ears.

Does anyone check their status for RFE's? Does checking the status online show RFE's if they come?

The online status at best is not a reliable source to update you on your case status, but to answer your question yes it's supposed to show your status RFE or whatever your particular status might be. But it's much to early to be concerned with that right now, sit back and learn all you can and try to enjoy your journey.

While you are waiting the PSA in the Philippines is notorious for misspellings and missing information on birth certificates. You should look over your BC to make sure everything is correct as well as your passport. Now is the time to get that corrected. You might want to get a copy of your NBI to see if there are any problems with it. Again, now is a better time to get it corrected if you find something wrong. Be sure to use all your AKA's when they do the search. Make sure your passport doesn't expire any time before a year from now as this is a long process and you could be running around getting a new one at the last minute. So get it renewed if it is expiring in 2019.

 

Also, there is a sub-forum for the Philippines here on VJ that you should be a part of. It's a good place to read what others are experiencing which will only prepare you for your interview.

My Fiancee sent out petition via FedEx on the 9th of February and we got word it was delivered to the lock box on 11th March...Now I am worried we haven't gotten a reciept or notification showing our package is accepted. Should we be worried? We hope we get email by weekend.  We so excited .
