Never got any update on mine.  Still says the same thing as yours.

Thanks.  I’m sure it’s fine, and I’m just worrying too much.  As I always do, with anything USCIS related.

My case status from EAD, which was approved in February of 2017, still says “case was received”.

I guess there’s some lazy folks there who can’t be bothered to click a button.

For all who have had biometrics already:  did your case status ever update to say they have been received?  How long did it take?

I did my biometrics 2 weeks ago, and it still only says case is received and nothing further is needed from me at this time.

Mine got update to fingerprint review is completed  after week or so and before that it used to give me error searching the case number. On new site only have generic that case is received and I don't need to do anything until they ask. And still same say on it even after biometric.

Wow, considering this is a service we pay for, they surely don’t seem to care about correcting errors on their end.

Our hard earned dollars fund them, so they should be doing everything in their power to not only keep delays to a minimum (across the board - these poor people waiting more than 6 months for AP/EAD is ridiculous), but they should also be customer service oriented.  If you have a weird glitch that prevented a whole bunch of people from receiving a document they NEED to prove status, they should be working around the clock to resolve it, even if it meant re-sending letters to all matters filed within the time period of the problem.

Bizarre to me how it’s just such a mess.

Hi everyone. I applied for I-751 removal of conditions on 1/4/2019 at the Texas Service Center and still have not received a biometrics apoointment. I am planning travel for a few months internationally and am afraid that I may end up missing my appointment if the notice comes while I am away.

I have read here that in some cases they don't require biometrics or in other cases don't send it out until later. Is there a way to find out? I called USCIS and they gave a generic answer that I needed to wait. Also if I decide to go ahead with my trip and the notice comes in the meanwhile, is it possible (or even advisable) to get it rescheduled after I am back? I plan to put on USPS email notifications of mail pieces but sometimes they don't scan all pieces. What if I end up missing the appointment altogether while I am away?

Update:

My wife received her extension letter (receipt notice) rather quickly but my two step-sons never received theirs.

Hadn't needed it so we just waited. I called last week they gave me the receipt numbers but said they don't get notices.

Just called today and the rep right away said let's file a request to get them their receipt notices.

She gave me two referral numbers (probably a service request): T1Mxxxxxxxxxx-CSC.

Let's hope we get their notices 👍

Update: My two step-sons received their NOA (extension) notices in the mail today!

Hooray!! Now we can all rest easily with valid proof in our hands 🙂👍

Yes I can ask a friend to periodically check it. But ideally didn't want them to go through the hassle if it can be avoided.

I get that it’s a hassle of course, but at least you could have some peace of mind knowing if it did come while you were away, they could send the request for a change of appointment on your behalf, or, let you know the date incase you’re back.

Finally received the "duplicate" NOA 9 days after second e-request. The date shows 4 days after second e-request, so they never mailed the NOA in first place.

02/07/2019  Called USCIS regarding non delivery of receipt . They asked me to call back after 30 days have expired since delivery

02/11/2019  Called USCIS again regarding non delivery of receipt. Mentioned that license will expire along with greencard on 02/28.

The lady filed a request on my behalf so i could schedule infopass.

                        I separately also filed e-request(https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndn

by choosing I-751 and other option , before calling USCIS just in case.

                       a duplicate notice.
