Do you know how long a submitted i129f lasts for before it expires? Between the NOA1 and NOA2 stages?

It can only be expired/no longer accepted before it is filed. It does not expire while pending adjudication, even if a new form is released.

After approval, it is valid for 4 months initially, and can be extended by the embassy/consulate.

Hey everyone,

Just realised we’ve only got one week left of February - so we should all be 2-3 months through the process now! 🎉🎉🎉

I also have a question that I’m hoping someone can answer - I read lots of threads on here and keep seeing references to ‘Igor’s list’ - who is Igor / how do I find his list?! If anyone can help, it’d be much appreciated!

Thanks

Zoë

I hope someone can help. My fiance and I have having a very hard time waiting to be together. We are trying to wait but it's becoming more difficult.  Has anyone ever filed for the K1 but then went a got married while waiting? Is that common or even a possibility? Or would that just mess everything up and make us start all over?

If you get married...k1 is void and you have to start all over again..

Yup, a K-1 requires remaining free to marry up until you enter the US on the visa.

Even a hint that you might have gotten married is cause for a denial of the K-1, even if there is no legal registration of a marriage.

It has happened and it was recent. If you marry and file a CR-1 then you will have to pay all the fees over again, you will have to submit all the required documents again and you will have to go to the back of the line and wait sometimes longer then the K-1.

You have come this far you can make the rest of the journey.

Ain't no way I am going to start all over again! This wait is painful enough. You are right, we have come this far. Thank you for your encouragement :)
