It is optional for regular employees, but it´s a must for self employed people. We add it anyways because we don´t want to hear them say there are no enough proof.

Even if they are the co sponser (self employed )

Sorry Guys me again, I´m doing the Packet 3 checklist to see if we are  missing something before sending it to the Embassy.

In the Affidavit of support petitioner/ sponsor, Please Let me know if we´re missing something or if there´s extra information we can add.

1) Form I-134
2) w2 Forms
3) 1040 Forms
4) Job Letter W4 Employee´s Witholding Allowance Certificate
5) Pay Stubs
6) Bank Statements
7) In our case adding our sponsor´s Citizenship Documents too.

Thanks!

Do you know if the copy package we have to submit before the interview needs a CERTIFIED copy of the birth entry? Or is a regular copy enough?

Yes just a copy you don't need to translate, also add a copy of the petitioner's birth certificate. I did a copy of my birth certificate that is translated and appostile, because I added it in the I129 F petition, but not necessary to do so.

I would say, and I haven't read it anywhere, but if you pass 2 out of the three requirements with #3 being the phone/name I believe you have passed their litmus test. Just an opinion.

I believe you are correct, I remember answering some questions.

In that case the co sponsor needs to add the bank statements.

Co sponsor submits the same requirements as you. Meter is running.

My fiance's IRS tax return transcripts are 1 page each, does this sound right? Just from reading, it sounded like other's were many pages.

i don't know if this is the right forum to ask. But i have one question. Can i go to my k1 interview even if i dont have yet the result of medical? Just in case got some delays in the result.

You can still attend your interview as long as you have completed the medical. This will just delay receiving your visa.

transcripts are short. actual returns (1040 long form) can be long 20-30pgs. this is why transcripts are preferred. You're good.

Our petition was delivered to the embassy on 1/28 and the status still shows "in transit" 😞 ~ how long does it normally take to go to "ready" after they get it?

It’s country specific, it could be that the consulate in your country is backed up with work and haven’t gotten around to newly arrived petitions yet. I hope you get the ‘ready’ status soon :)

Have you tried the ‘see similar timelines’ feature to see if anyone with the same country and received date has packet 3 yet?

I did actually and it was really strange. When I tracked the package on DHL it only showed 2 going to South Korea but on the similar timelines, there are 3 others (not the same couples) that show their packages went out the same time as ours.
