I  also went to the CEAC website and it showed me this :

Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask.

Use "immigant" for the Visa type and put your case number from NVC.

 

Read the P3 letter it will explain everything to you.

Your dates are just like mine. How did you find out NVC had a case number? You called?

I literally called every day after the 19th  once at 9am 2pm and 10:30 pm lol. I called today at my normal times and they said wait 8 weeks. I called again for good measure  at 10 and sure enough it was there

That's funny, I did the same since the 19th. Except the 10 pm since I didn't think they were open at that time. I called twice today and they said the same thing....8 weeks. I will call tomorrow morning and hopefully it will be there. Congratulations!

I do habe a question for yah though Green. Is the number for the NVC free calling for International as well? I am still In Vietnam and have thought about calling the NVC to see if they have received it yet at least. I dont expect them to issue her Case Number till jist before their Christmas Vacation. In a sense, I am kind of hoping they issue her case # In January which we are fine with as well. lol

For me it wasn’t free. But granted I’m from Australia and might be more because of my phone plan. It was only a few dollars. Others may have different stories?
