Got our tracking # on DHL today....I'm good from here on out, not going to ask anymore annoying questions.  I normally follow up each day where i left off in this thread but made a tragic human mistake of not seeing my question answered previously.  Good luck everyone...

I was able to pre-book the interview (waiting for payment confirmation now) even if our case is not under “ready status” yet but unluckily the first available date is Jan., 8th

I was hoping for something quicker but at least we have a date now. This journey is almost over and I can reconnect with my loved fiancé.😍

I have my case number (didn't call nvc once).  Petition in transit.   We are ready for the interview before the embassy has the petition.   Don't know what all the hub ub is all about needing to call every day

Nothing on DHL for me.  I'm using EXP 27 NOV 2018A   and 11/27 ship dates.

 Shipping labels were created yesterday but the pouches actually left today so try with 11/28 as shipment date.

You're a saint.  why the heck didn't I think of that.    Doing tons of OT at work and not getting sleep will make the mind slip.   Thanks!   It worked   Says it will get there at the end of the day Friday.   I was skeptical of the 3 day estimate given in the Colombia Consulate section, but I'll be damned....it's 3 days.

I was thinking the same thing.  DIY by definition means you are willing to commit the time necessary to educate and do it yourself.   If your life is to busy, exhausting or you don't comprehend English,  then you are better served by hiring a agency or attorney to hold your hand.

*NVC on 11/27/2018 like 3:30 AM notified my fiancé and me by e.mail and attachment confirming that they forwarded the petition to the US Embassy in Baghdad and the transfer process can take up to several weeks and the US Embassy will contact my fiancé when they are ready to process the petition. 

 

US Embassy -Baghdad on 11/27/2018 around 11:30 PM sent an Email with interview date on Dec 19 2018 and attached the required documents instructions !! not sure if in Baghdad they received the Packet electronically or there was expedited shipment ! no Idea ! well my fiancé now she has interview! or they call it appointment in the letter ! any thoughts please ? I am really surprised its that fast ?!

It's called trusting the process [said in a quiet unassuming voice]. Remember when I said they go out Tuesday and Wednesdays.

I'm always curious why someone doubts what is told to them from a reliable source. JMO. Yes, your embassy may have been electronic but did you make an attempt to see if there was a shipment that went to Baghdad? If not so then it would have been sent electronically if no shipment. A process of elimination.
