Congrats everyone! We received our NOA2 approval on 10/3.

Does anyone happen to have any resources / access to P3 instructions for Barbados?

Hi there,

Since I'm stranded at home because my flight to Europe was canceled I thought I would look at the I-134 document and fill that out now. But when I look at it, it says it expires 11/30/2018. Who knows how long this process will take. Will there be a new form to fill out in December or should I just use this one now?

Anything special I need to know about filling this out?

Thanks!

Here is how forms and dates work. A form has an expiry date but if the new form is not ready for distribution then they allow you to use the "old" form or in this case the current form.

Waiting for NVC

NOA 2 date 10/01/2018.

Hard copy 10/05/2018.

Should I be concerned that neither side has updated from case received yet?

No, because those two websites are notorious for not being accurate or up to date. IMO they are worthless as to the information they display. I have yet to hear from someone who can explain what their worth is to the visa process.  Once you have your case number then you want to enter it into ceac.state.gov with the notification that it's an "immigrant" visa you are pursuing. There it will tell you if it's in transit, received and ready. You're looking for "ready" condition which means the Embassy is ready for your interview.

2-3 weeks seem reasonable. Some are sooner and some are later.

We guys made it as well. Got our approval 10/2!!! 😁😁

Congratulations.

In the next phase, many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Any UK people going to be fighting me for the soonest available appointments 😜

The next 15 days waiting for a case number are going to be unbearable. What is the earliest I can get away with calling to try get my case number bearing in mind I don't mind getting told there is no news and to call back again in 45 days hehe.

Gonna help Greenbaum here, with general questions (if he doesn't mind of course)
2-3 weeks is the medium. some take less, some take more, but at week 2 you could start calling in, i'm at 7days now, will wait another week until i'll start doing so :)

I wouldn't worry about the expiration date because that's the current form to use so here's a checklist to add to support your affidavit of support.

  • A signed statement from an officer of the bank or other financial institution that states when you opened an account, the total amount deposited for the past year, and the present balance of such account
  • A signed statement from your employer on business letterhead that states the date and nature of your employment, salary paid, and whether the position is temporary or permanent
  • A copy of your last income federal tax return filed, or a report of commercial rating concern (if self-employed)  Hope this will help to get you started.

Unbearable!?! You got your NOA2 about two months faster than we did!! 15 days!? That’s like a blink of an eye!!

Thanks. I did contact my bank. They don’t provide signed letter and pointed me to where I can download a document (it’s capital one—online only). I’ll try my other bank (Citibank) as well. Already have letter from employer and pay stubs and tax returns so should be all set. Can signed letter from bank and employer be a printed scan or must be original signature?
