I'm seeing that some having an NOA2 date of Oct. 3 have arrived at the NVC and some with an earlier date haven't even though they are from the same service center. How does that work? Is it like the NOA1 to NOA2 process where they try to go in order but it doesn't always happen? Just curious.

Background checks is your answer. Every individual and Country is different.

I just called NVC, they said they don't have my case yet and it could take 6 weeks for them to receive it from USCIS.

That response is what everyone hears. Read this thread and you'll be educated on what others are experiencing and if there are any work arounds that you can use for your journey.

@americaninlove here is the prime example of it taking two weeks to arrive at NVC from USICS after NOA2 approval. Follow Banja and see what happens on his road.

This makes sense. But your dates also say 2-3 weeks after that for case number. That’s where I was confused as it seems case number comes a few days later. But now I get it. Thank you!

This question might still garner the same answer. But, what I meant was.. Two cases both have NOA2 dates (one Oct. 3 and one Oct. 2) essentially both are either on their way to the NVC or have arrived. The case with the NOA2 date of Oct 3 has its case number but the Oct 2 doesn't and has been told the case hasn't been received yet. Why is this so if they have both been approved and left from the same service center? Hopefully, my question makes sense.

I-129F Sent: April 12, 2018

I-129F Received: April 13, 2018 (confirmation by email)

I-129F NOA1: April 18, 2018

I-129F NOA2: October 5, 2018 (received by mail on October 12, 2018)

NVC Received: November 1, 2018

NVC Case Number Assigned: November 2, 2018

Left NVC: November 13, 2018

Arrived at Embassy: November 19, 2018

Packet 3: November 27, 2018

Packet 4: December 14, 2018

Interview: February 7, 2019

Because it landed on two different desks and those two agents work at a different pace or one case is situated on top of the pile while the other is on the bottom.

Hey guys, when completing NVC page with my email address,  for some reason it does not allow me to upload it stating that my date of birth is invalid. Do you guys know what can be an issue? Can it be an error on the NVC side? I tried entering it different ways but none was accepted....

My fiancé called three times this week and they said they don’t have our case yet. Is this normal? We got approved october 2, he also said the guy on the phone was kinda mad and told him to call back in a week or two. Do they mark every time we call?
