Definitely the embassy as the email address was the same one they use to notify me before in regards to Passport pick up, appointments. etc.

Nope my MSC# or WAC# is not on the email. It is so strange but it seems legit cause I logged in to the document or appointment booking system for the United Kingdom and it's toggling me to book an appointment with DX to have my passport picked up in their Central London PO box.

Well, I would say call your embassy because it seems to be an error on their behalf as you have clearly moved out of the K1 process. So, before you starting submitting any personal documents, contact them first to be sure.

ROC Filing:

4/21/2021 - Sent ROC Package via FedEx

4/22/2021 - FedEx package delivered and signed

5/11/2021 - Check cashed

5/14/2021 - Received NOA1 via mail (NOA1 date: 5/8/2021)

6/9/2021 -  Biometrics waived - Case updated to Fingerprints taken

Yeah I sent them an email to query it.

I thought it was weird they're asking me to send my passport back to the UK when I already left.

Alright you guys. Been a while, been busy busy busy!

Hubby is working my ### off, lol. No jk.  Life is just really busy.

Got the AOS filed on august 30 together with the EAD and AP. So now it's back to the waiting game.

I hear EAD can take up to 4 months and even then its anybody's guess if they accept an EAD for employment here.  Lot of anti immigrant sympathisers here. Hope things go smooth though, hope to get to work soon.

I know this process is a looooooong wait, but I must say at least the beginning of it moves quickly.

We filed our AOS, EAD, and AP on August 29th.

Today in the mail we received all 4 letters at the same time - 3 NOAs and his biometrics appointment for September 24th.  It feels good to have movement this quickly after the slow wait of the K1 process.

I know that after the biometrics it's a long wait, but still just celebrating this moment!!!

Oh wow, biometrics comes in that soon? Is that different per field office?

Do you need to go to your field office to have your biometrics taken?

Sorry, I haven't had the time to dive into this part much yet.

It is a little different per field office, but in general, you should expect an appointment for your biometrics to be taken within a month of your application being accepted.

You will need to go to your nearest filed office, but the letter will instruct you where to go and at what time.

And just an advice for your biometrics: they don't mention it in the appointment letter, but if you changed your family name, take your marriage certificate with you. They will ask for it. (appointment is for married name, but your passport is still in your maiden name)

My nearest field office is officially indianapolis cause we are in the south of Indiana. That is a 4 hour drive. But Kentucky's fieldoffice in Louisville is only an hour and 15 minutes from where I live. I hope I can change my appointment to that field office. At least for the biometrics. It's not 10 minutes of just scanning fingerprints and a signature, right? Feels stupid to have to drive 8 hours just for that.

I can't say for sure, but I'm sure this is something you can get changed/re-scheduled.

However, my advice would be to consider how much of a delay this may cause to the process.  If you have time and you are not a couple that needs to have this processed without delay, then ask to have it changed with the understanding that it may take more time.  But if time is of the essence for you…an 8 hour drive might be what you have to do to keep the process moving as quickly as possible.

Just a thought.  You ultimately know best.

It may not even be a field office but an ASC (application support center) near you. wait and see because they use those asc offices for biometrics.
