  Isn't Quinnipiac a University? CNN didn't actually make the poll. 

 

  The issue is, on an independent poll of 1020 people with a margin of error of 3.7%, almost half of people surveyed think the president is racist. Previous polls have had the same results. The majority of polls regarding Trumps approval have negative results regardless of the source.

 

  The response can't always be to blame the messenger.

Regardless, if you actually read the poll, you will find that the racist question was asked as a qualifier to the immigration issue and since the media has been pushing the Trump is a racist over illegal aliens all along, it is not really surprising what the response might be considering Quinnipiac does tend to over sample Dems.  The other interesting tidbit is the fact that over 60% of the respondents felt the Dems would only use the immigration issue for political gain, I am surprised the CNN story didn’t mention that.
