Hi everyone!

I'm a new member here and I've been reading this thread since the beginning and I finally decided to make an account and participate☺️

Congratulations to everyone who has gotten their EAD and had their interview! I can't believe some people have already gone through the waiting and can start applying for jobs... I'm so jealous! 😅

So my aos application was filed on june 8th and I got the noa1 on june 18th. The biometrics were on july 13th and just a few days ago my aos status changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview" but who knows how many months it will take. It makes me happy to know that they've at least gone through the application and SOMETHING has happened!

I'm really frustrated with the EAD though. The visajourney timeline says I should get it within a week (around october 12th to 25th but it's already the 17th🙄). I find that unlikely😥 Just because I feel that it's taking longer that it should. I do not have a driver's license yet but I've started learning the theory in case I get the EAD soon😥

I just disabled all notifications because tbh seeing how long our case is taking compared to others in my same area and that submitted way after and even got fingerprinted after, is not helping me get through this horrible wait 💅🏽 So for my sanity, good luck to y’all 👌🏽 I will just update my profile when needed

I gotta tell you that to one point i was mad @Swissmiss82 @Paul & Mallory, because they even got interview before we even got EAD. Unreal. Not their fault, but we can breathe now finally. Hopefully everybody else here gets their EAD soon also. No driving or even taking advantage of some of the state owned facilities that only residents get i.e. Fishing license, hunting license and such. In rural Alabama there is literally nothing to do. My wife is free of being chainballed to the apartment.

i am sooo glad to hear you got EAD!!! ❤️

i fully understand how mad you were, cos i know that feeling... but at the same time, we all know how it is not fair at this process

and they just do whatever they want... i am just happy it worked out for you and you got EAD :) finally!!!! let's go with all the next steps :D

N-400: 12/05/2023 (confirmed fingerprints are re-used)

Interview scheduled for: 05/09/2024

I hope you didn't take my rant personally and neither Paul and Mallory. I got mad at the fact, not you guys. Like i said before....this process can be challenging on all of us. My wife is not thrilled that she needs the car, and that would mean, she has to drive and bye bye chauffeur. LMAO.

and Thank you for your post.
