Your fiance calling USCIS is too soon right now
They are still working through November 2017 cases right now. So you are about maybe 4-6 weeks out before you might even hear something.

You have a long ways to go so there's really nothing you can do right now.
So Sit tight. When you get your NOA2, this forum is helpful in walking you through what next to do :D

Am patiently waiting 😪😪😪...

thanks

Hi you guys! I am almost ending this process but I thought I had everything ready. Buuuut almost one week later I got the package from the embassy saying I need to bring original papers but also translation for that.  Did you bring translated papers to the interview?

I thought embassies accepted docs in either the local language or English... Not sure about Costa Rica, I am in Mexico, and would love to hear someone clarify.  :-D

Alright I received my case number from the NVC today but when I go into  CEAC.State.gov to pay for the ds 160 and schedule it for Rio it asks for my case and invoice ID which i put in, than it says "

K visas are nonimmigrant visas that assist spouses or future spouses of American citizens in entering the United States. As with all nonimmigrant visa applicants, a DS-160 must be filled out in order for a consular section to process the case."

I filled out though DS 160 though, so what am I missing?

You need the confirmation number which was given to you when you submitted the ds 160. You can't pay for the ds 160 on the nvc website...it's done through your country's embassy web portal or however they direct you to pay. Most countries want the visa fee to be paid by physically going to a bank that the embassy has specified probably on the website. For that you need to print out a deposit slip. Check your country's embassy portal to see how they want you to pay..

Does anyone here know what are the requirements that the petitioner needs to prepare for the beneficiary's interview? I really need to know the list so that I can ask my fiance for it.

Would really appreciate anyone's response. Thank you

Not knowing what Embassy you are processing through prevents us from responding to many of your questions. If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country so it makes it easy for us to reply. Embassy process's are different for each Embassy.

So if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

No the DS-160 can be submitted at any time before the interview. The two are not dependent on each other except for the interview.

I don't remember if I have shared this with you or not for your processing through the Philippines here is a website that has all the steps, documents and short cuts to a visa at USEM. Free to use and it has helped hundreds before you attain their visa without hiccups.

http://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/k-1-visa-application.html

And other sites to be familiar with.

and for specific questions concerning the process in the Philippines there is a sub-forum here

Yes. Because you need the confirmation number as one part of scheduling the interview

This is actually incorrect. All you need to submit DS-160 is the USCIS number which is the WAC #.

Please read the question...

They asked if the ds160 needs to be submitted BEFORE you try to SCHEDULE an INTERVIEW....

I know when i log iin to schedule

I need the nvc case id, ds 160 confiemation number which you also need to when you pay the visa fee, and the recipt number of your payment of the fee

For your Embassy that may be true but not for the Philippines embassy.
