I wanted to kill my fiance today.  I played a practical joke on him involving the world cup yesterday.  So today he calls and says.. "hey check your email.  The embassy just emailed and rescheduled my interview to end of July."  (his interview is tomorrow)  I wanted to cry.  He let me actually log on to my email till he told me it was a joke and told me not to joke with soccer anymore.  I wanted to KILL him

Had my interview yesterday, I was so anxious and nervous but all the built up tension from this whole process turned into an extreme burst of relief as soon as the officer said it's been approved and I should receive my passport soon.

 

I also got to take a week off from work and go on a little vacation to Rio for the medical and interview so overall it was a great week. I'm ready and refreshed to go back to real life after getting this immigration weight off my shoulders.

 

Now on to finish packing everything and looking for tickets!

It was pretty straightforward. I was interviewed by a nice lady, she just asked a couple basic questions like when and where we met and what were our plans to get married.

She did however ask a trick question. She implied that my fiancé has been to Brazil and asked when was the last time he's been here. My fiancé has never been to Brazil.

After that she just asked when was the last time we saw each other and said that it was approved.

Thank you! Love really does outlast this nightmare. It's draining, stressing, lonely and miserable and has the potential to ruin your relationship but in the end you both are stronger and love each other more than ever, it's so worth it. Now I'm counting the days to be with my love.

Hello all... I will be running the scan tonight. It's running now, but I have to run the full scan so this first time will take a bit longer and then I'll get my data all setup and will post results.

Congrats @Buhr @ThomasNC1988 @Oldrae !!! :jest::D Nice to see people starting to receive their visas so they can finally be with their better halves.

 

I'm literally counting down the weeks till I can hopefully say the same as you guys. My medical is booked for the 24th July, and I'm waiting to receive some paperwork from my finance so that I can book my interview. This process is stressful but I know it will be worth it.

My fiance was approved today!  He told me they said... so tell me something that will make me believe this isn't a relationship of convenience!  LOL.  He told them about how we got engaged and the proposal.  He said the interview takes place in a bank teller-like window where the rest of the people can hear you.  They asked him where I worked and for more pictures.  She said I was pretty :)  And that's it. Approved.
