Please note: This will probably be my last daily October scan, I just don't have time to do 3 months every night. 

I think most of you are already further along in your process or have a good idea of what's going on, so I don't know how helpful the data really is anymore on a day to day basis anyway.

I will scan October once a week going forward, on Friday nights, until probably the end of August or so.

Goodness, it seems like a lifetime away since I posted in this thread, I just had my consulate interview today and we were approved Hopeful to get a POE next week depending on when the passport comes back! 

Hope everyone else's journeys are coming close to POE and is over shortly

Hopefully we'll be able to meet across the pond?

How was it at the London embassy and getting things done there? Quick, easy, stress free?

It was super easy, I would say stress free but until I had the approval I was still racked with nerves and stress! But... all in all no-one really needs to worry. It is as simple as everyone makes it out to be  I wrote my experience in the UK section...

Nope, they take them there, they have a scanner 4 fingers of your left and right hand separately and your 2 thumbs together

Ahh that is so awesome! So how was it with the medical? I assume ACRO is pretty easy.. My fiance cannot locate his medical as he just doesn't go to the doctor. His old doc died and he has not been back to NHS in FOREVER. I know the instructions say if you cannot find your old records tell the medical panel, and they will more than likely give you ALL shots. What do u think? Interview sounded easy. I am wondering if we need affidavit if we sent this in with the original petition?

Regarding the medical it was fine, I previously was diagnosed with petit mal epilepsy, as this is a neurological condition. They did need further paperwork (I had specialist notes and letters) to confirm the last time I had an episode and that I no longer am on medication.

 

Once you book with them, they send you an email of what you need to bring with you on the day. Cost of the medical has also gone up to £330 now also.

 

Has your fiance had any past, significant or ongoing medical issues? Even if he hasn't he will still need to go to the GP he is registered to, to request a Patient Care Summary. They actually hold your medical if you don't have it.

 

If he doesn't have his immunization records, that is fine to get all the shots, but does he really want to do them at Knightsbridge where it costs an arm and a leg? All those vaccinations he can get at his surgery? For free? 

 

With regard to the affidavit, they might very well still ask for it, as a tax year has passed? I would send him a new updated one just incase.

I haven't been on this thread in a while. I hope everyone's progress is going smoothly. My fiance has been here for one week as of today. I just wanted to give my experience that we had with our local social security office. We went to apply for his ssn today and when we walked in at 9:30 A.M. we figured we would beat the crowd...wrong. It was packed. We waited for a little over 30 minutes before we were called. I was super nervous that we would get someone rude and uneducated on the K1 and just tell us no without listening. It was a younger man who was very friendly and he appreciated that we had everything with us including the i94. He continuously apologized for taking so long he just wanted to make sure he was doing it all right because he had never done one for a K 1 before. He even got his supervisor to look over everything. She said everything looked fine as long as we double checked making sure all information he entered was correct and they both told us it would be to us in the mail within 7-10 days. I can't speak for the Social Security Administration as a whole but we got lucky and had a very good experience with ours. I hope you all do too.

I am sorry I was away... I went to visit my mother and responded to their RFE right after I came back. They have received my response July 11. Now I am waiting again...

So guys just an update, after being approved at the Embassy last Wednesday. Collected my passport yesterday from the DX office in London. They sent me an email around 4pm on Thursday to say that. So I have my POE tomorrow!!! Thank you for all the support here and will continue to post about POE once I'm settled!

 

I hope everyone still waiting for a response gets one soon! And may everyone's future be bright with their partner

Had my interview yesterday at the US Embassy in London... after a few medical delays (no thanks to my incompetent GP surgery🙄) ive been worried sick/stressing like never before for weeks... but... I GOT APPROVED!!!! 😁😁 the best feeling in the world & the relief is incredible!

 

Thank you to EVERYONE whos supported me on these forums! I truly have appreciated it!

 

Cant wait to have my visa in hand 😍 

Jake is visiting my family in October so im going to move when  he flies back to USA, so we get to fly together! 💖
