Was anyone here in the similar case as mine? can you share your exp?

- On September 6, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxx , was assigned to an officer for response.
- On September 10, 2019, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxx
- On September 10, 2019, your request to have your case expedited, referral number xxx , was completed.

Expedite request was received on Sep10 and they also emailed me for additional proof. I faxed the evidence on the next day Sep 11. Last weekend I got an update:

- On September 20, 2019, we received your request for expedited processing on your Formxxx. We are reviewing your request and will notify you if we need additional information. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I dont understand what is going on. The date was changed from Sep 10 to Sep 20 but the rest of that update is still the same ?????

I called USCIS and they said that is normal and all I have to do is wait. I got an offer letter recently and I really want that job. How do you guys tell your HR while you are waiting for EAD

I have the same situation as yours. Do you have any update since that?

  • 2 weeks later...

Just submitted a request to expedite with a job offer. Hoping to also use my congressman to help me out with this. Ahh really hope this works on time because it's a great job opportunity!!

Looks like it's taking between 1-2 months for everything to be processed. My tentative start date is about 1 months away but with the holidays I'm expecting some serious delays. Anyone else recently submit an expedite?

it will update to mailed and then youll have it roughly a week later. If you dont have your social security number yet you will still have to wait for that to arrive

They are not connected, issued by different entities.

Question

What is the wait time between EAD card and SSN in the mail? Do they get sent together or is there a delay?

In the process of expediting and was curious...
