Welp - I would say do it, if it is not impractical - my ASC is a 2.5 hour drive away - not exactly easy to get to.

Well, today I had my interview so I would like to share my experience with you all. my interview was scheduled for 09:30am at local office in Kansas City Missouri. My wife and I arrived around 09

N-400 Interview - Jacksonville, FL   I spent the night in Jacksonville - the interview was at 10:15 a.m. and I did not want to deal with traffic, (possibly) deer, construction or the stress

Yea it will be probably be a 15 minute drive - I can even do it during my lunch break.

But I'd have to keep my fingers crossed that i'll be out with 15-20 minutes so I can make it back  to work on time.

 

Now my other question would be, can I just print the letter that I got from my uscis account instead of waiting for the actual letter mailed to me?

Coz I think I can do try to walk in as early as tomorrow.

If you are walking in with the copy of letter and trying to get it done, I would say yes.  Worst they can tell you is to wait for the original letter to arrive before attempting a walk in.

Hello everyone, I hope i'm posting in the right place.

 

It came to my attention that I should have filed the N-400 a while ago as it's been way more than 5 years, I'm trying to file online,  but they only asked for Selective service letter and a copy of permanent resident card, am I missing something?  are there any other forms or documents that I need to upload along with the N-400 form? I know that I might need to take some documents with me to the interview like tax transcripts etc.. 

But what documents have you guys uploaded before submitting the application? i'm reaching out to those who filed online based on the 5 years rule

I filed on the 5 year rule and since I’ve never been married and don’t have kids, all that was asked of me to upload was the front and back of my green card.

If you are male, which I assume you are, Gymaddict, then your green card and your selective service document are the only two mandatory uploads.  Take everything else to the interview.

They have an option to give you a letter in PDF form that verifies your registration.

When you successfully enter your information using the online "VERIFY NOW" and if all your information entered matches the information on file, the results will indicate you are registered with the Selective Service System. 

Official Letter of Verification: At this point of the online verification step, you have the option to print an official letter of verification from Selective Service.

Coz I think I can do try to walk in as early as tomorrow.

 

The letter you print out from you online documents and the one mailed to you are practically indistinguishable

It means you're now into the hole of waiting for an email to say they're now putting you in-line for an interview. Presumably they're using your biometric information to just make sure you're not featuring in any police records that you've omitted to tell them about and that your fingerprints aren't matching any they've found at the site of an unsolved crime

 

Some in the January filers are already out of this hole and getting notified they're in-line for interviews but others in December and November still seem to be in the "actively checking" stage (though presumably not all update their information)
