Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : CDN-USA Border
POE Date : 2015-05-23

Biometrics Taken :
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : POE was at Fort Erie-Buffalo Peace Bridge and was very smooth. Very easy but it took more than 2 hours for officer to process my paper work. I would suggest planning for 2-3 hours at border. If you have been married more than 2 years on day of POE, show them your marriage certificate to receive unconditional card.

Consulate Review: Montreal, Canada
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : January 24, 2015
Embassy Review : I will start this review by saying the interview was the easiest part of this process and there is nothing to be stressed about. Other members have wrote detail reviews, read them and keep in mind few important points.

- no big bags or backpacks are allowed. They won't even let you throw your bag in garbage.

- Carry Canadian $10 bill in case the document collection lady wants more recent passport photos. There is a machine downstairs that only takes $10 bills.

- once you get out of elevator head straight to the desk of Visa Receptionists. They no longer give ticket numbers at window 14 on left.

I wasn't asked anything out of ordinary. Just how we met, when, and where. When did we get married? How often do we visit each other? who does the most of traveling to visit? And that's it, I was approved. Passport and the visa packet arrived on 3rd business day. javascript:emoticon('')

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
