Ah ok. So I just need to sit and wait for them to contact us about the interview at this point?

Do you already have the NVC # ? If you dont have it you need to call them at NVC (603)-334-0700

If yes you can check the status at https://ceac.state.gov/ceacstattracker/status.aspx . As soon as you visa status is set as "ready" you can go ahead and schedule the interview.

Then Go to  https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/Default.aspx and fill the DS-160 form.

Then go to https://ais.usvisa-info.com/pt-br/iv and register (it must be the beneficiary) fill the required fields and pay the fee once the fee is paid you can schedule the interview.

Once the interview is scheduled you can schedule the medical appointment and before this the exams.

If you have any questions abour Rio embassy let me know.

Hi all - hoping for some help! I'm a bit confused. We received the "ready" notice from the US embassy in London yesterday. How do we go about looking for our interview date? We've booked my fiance's medical (for 3/13) but that seems almost too far away compared to the turn-around time some others have.

So excited to see such happy news going around for all of you! xx

DS-160 website is absolutely infuriating. Keeps timing out every time we try to advance a page, then deletes all our information we already entered. How does anyone complete this?

Try using a different browser. Some have reported having better luck with Firefox than Safari, for example. Or better luck with Chrome than Explorer or Edge.

I ended up using Firefox on a Windows 10 computer.

Tried both Firefox and Safari, neither work unfortunately. May try Internet explorer next but if that doesn’t work then we are out of luck. NVC case status check also says our number doesn’t exist despite the USCIS sending it to me today.

All right but don't forget Chrome too, if you can.

Sometimes there are connectivity issues and it takes numerous attempts.

Failing that, could you beg/borrow another computer somewhere...library, internet cafe, school or university or something?

Definitely it's about WHO and not what!  Definitely, one hundred percent!!

I'd live in a hovel with my fiance and work by his side to improve it, if necessary.  A house is four walls but HE makes it *home*.

HI Junies,

An update from me.  Our Visa was approved on Feb 27th.  Lanie said the interview was more like a chat, she commented on our pics (from my packet) and only seemed to ask to tell me about the proposal.  I booked her flight last night and my love will be here with me on March 26th at long last.

As for the time lines from NOA2 to NVC it has been said here 6-8 weeks mine was there in 17days....I called on day 21 just to see if by luck it was there and it was.  The very nice gentleman told me it would be leaving NVC on that Friday. So they had it for one week.  I actually the man what they do at NVC since no one seems to know.....He said for K1 they really do nothing but send it on the Embassy.

I got an email 3 days later saying the Embassy had the file and to start the DS160.  We did it and 3 days later they there was another email saying we can now schedule the medical and interview.  There is no booking the Medical in Manila its a 2 day adventure an it's first come first serve (Lanie went there on the 12-13).  Then we booked the interview (it is recommended 2 weeks later but Lanie met some one doing it 3 days later)  we waited the 2 weeks and set it for Feb 27th.

Best of luck to all those still waiting especially John & Rose!!!  At least they have heard something now RFE...get it taken care of and get Rose and her kids in your arms!

Colin

So my fiancé travelled from Chicago to celebrate our birthday next week and assist me on my interview Friday, but he is stuck in Dublin because of the storms. Aer lingus (the airline) have been so unhelpful. He and other passengers were dropped off in Shannon, and left to make their own way back to Dublin airport!

then I receive an email from the embassy saying that they may be closed the day of my interview due to th weather.

I was looking forward to snuggling up with him tonight. :(
