Hey fellow July filers,

I am not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask this question, but maybe one of you can help us out.

We received our NVC case number yesterday and are now waiting for it to be sent to the consulate in Amsterdam. I was wondering whether my fiance and I can already start applying for the visa and completing the "6 steps" from the NVC and even scheduling the consular interview, or if we need to wait for instructions from the consulate?

Thanks a lot and good luck to everyone on this forum!

After 370 days of waiting since USCIS received my k1 application I have finally received my approval letter (noa 2). I called nvc and they haven’t received anything yet. However, I was given a state.gov email to send a picture of my approval notice so they can research it. Have anyone got this response before when calling?

Our NOA2 is dated Jan. 19. I called last Friday and again today. Haven’t received yet and got the “6 week blah blah blah”, so I’ll call again on Friday this week. We’re still collecting the documents we need, so a couple of days waiting on NVC wouldn’t hurt us.

But, soooooo glad they’re moving faster than USCIS.

Anybody find better luck using the other dial options?. I’m pressing 7, but maybe 5 or 2 could get me some better answers lol.

Hey, what documents are you collecting?? I have been informed to show them evidence of our ongoing relationship.

Hiya guys!

Our NOA2 date is Jan 9th.

I (beneficiary) called NVC yesterday and we have a case number! It was received/generated on the 24th already, so just 15 days after NOA2.

I've been told by Dutch filers before us to wait. The consulate in Amsterdam will send a packet 3 with instructions. What you can do while you wait is collect all necessary documents and have the USC send hard copies with wet signatures for a couple of those documents.

For the beneficiary, don't forget about VOG and "uittreksel van geboorteakte"!

As you don't have a timeline, what is your NOA2 date?

Seems that in the past week, case numbers have been generated for a lot of cases that were NOA2 approved in the week of Jan 8th.
