Hello and welcome @MsRL825

I'm so happy that you and your American found each other. It sounds like you've both worked hard and lived some life. You could say the same for myself and my fiance. We're not exactly "spring chickens" anymore ourselves.  ;)

We were lucky to have found each other. I'll never cease to be amazed at how strange and unlikely our meeting was, and how fortunate.

Also fortunate, furthermore, that we all found our way to this forum so that we could help and encourage each other here. Thank God for these people, our fellow travelers on this difficult road. May they all be united with their loved ones as quickly as possible. (L)

Good luck and Godspeed to you, as well.

@Birveonrty I wouldn't force or demand my fiance to do anything but I know how you feel about wanting your fiance there. My fiance won't be around for the medical or interview but I told him I don't want to leave my family without him there to help me because I already know my mom and dad are going to be a mess and I probably will be too leaving them. I would at least tell your fiance how you are feeling so at least he knows he has to be there for you more emotionally, it's okay to not act tough all the time and lean on the ones we love.

Hi June peeps,

To be together is just the right thing to do-this being said is the main tenet while we all filed our K1/K2 applications. You see I am already past my 40s and my honorable fiance is in his 50s. Age bracket could  very well pass the screening of uscis and adjudicator could have said, "Hey, these people are not young anymore,  how many more years left for them, so let me APPROVE this!"

But as of this writing, our case has been untouched, passed by, UNAPPROVED. We are 185 days active. I and my dear Retired Senior  Chief have considerable means to  live contently in my homecountry, but are we going to live happily despite  knowing that my fiance has a secure job aside from having his pension from the USN. I worked so many years abroad and was able to secure my own future and the future of my kids. Yes, I am a widower and so is my fiance. And this could be another reason for the adjudicator to say, "Hey these people are two lonely souls who found each other, so let me APPROVE  this!" Just saying!

Next week, my dear Senior Chief is coming home and spend not just 2 weeks unlike the 3 previous visits he did, and unlike 3 weeks he recently did, but 36 days. He was given this long holidays considered so rare for Americans to be off  from a full time job. The support of his boss is greatly appreaciated.

My loving, supportive, respectful fiance has said from the very 1st time we found each other  that he won't ever let us be apart for so long, no matter what it takes. We both made financial sacrifices so that we could be TOGETHER FOR IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. My mind, my heart above all doesnt need to prove to anyone how we love each other,  and how genuinely the Love is. My fiance has proven in many ways than one that I matter to him, and that being together is the most important thing. Sadly and unfortunately,  in the eyes of USCIS,  our feelings and intentions need to be validated,  investigated,  adjudicated,  to be APPROVED. I have sleepless nights by stalking cases, by being glued to the latest scans of @vocaledge, and by reading informative posts of everyone here. You see our K1/K2  applications are no different from other relationships.  Same sex relationship believes that their feelings for each other and their relationship is real and true though it is not accepted legally in all places, states,  and nations. Unmarried partners believe that even without being married, their relationship is real. I and my fiance feel the same way. In our hearts and minds he is my husband and I am his wife, and he is the role model of my two boys. All these days, my fiance has never wavered his support, trust, and love for me and the family. I am the one who almost give up many times, but his love is such a fortress. I wish I could still fathom the complexity of this process, and I pray that God continues to give me the virtue of patience for that is all I need. I have no doubts of whatever His plans are for us, for I always believe, Thy Will Be Done!

USCIS, indeed, we are all at your mercy of which mercy is never in your dictionary. These  16months have made us more determined that this long road will end with HAPPY JOURNEY TOGETHER!

Very beautiful, very encouraging, let thy will be done you are not alone, all shall be well. .

Thank you!

I never force him so far. Sometimes dropping words like "I wish you're here" is making him a guilt trip. He can read my mind.

I understand him so much especially his financial status when one time he asked me to help him make a budget. I saw all his expenses and bills. All I could say is "if only I could help you now."

It’s important in a  Relationship to say what you want. Exactly what you want, no beating around the bush. I don’t think that’s considered forcing if those are reasonable requests.

If you have the possibility to be together and can afford it, tell him you want him there. Not dropping hints but telling him directly, guys don’t necessarily get this whole dropping hints thing. Well, at least my guy doesn’t lol.

If you don’t have the possibility and can not afford it y’all need to find a different way to be there for each other.

But be open and say directly what you want. That’s not forcing

Sigh. The one after us got approved. I am happy for everybody on this list. At the same time I’m super frustrated.

I think it would be so much smarter to do it In god damn order. Every case in order. That’s only fair. That way people from April may would be done and everybody would get their fair share in time and order. I really don’t understand why they don’t do that. There would be so much less frustration if they would do it in exact order as the applications come in. That way june 12th wouldn’t be worked on harder than the 1st. Its just not fair. People have waited so long. Only to see later people getting approved like crazy. Don’t get me wrong, it’s deserved for all of us!!  I just think it’s unfair and causing lots of frustration.

Also if it was in order it would be so much easier to estimate when it’s your specific turn.

Which makes everything easier.

Man I don’t know who’s running that place.

Edit:

plus there wouldn’t be as many lost cases or forgotten ones. If only you would do in an organized orderly manner LIFE GETS EASIER !!

Thank you @vocaledge .....another disappointing June day with only 38 approvals, but I guess there’s some cases that aren’t being updated on the site.
