I got my NOA1 on November 21. Got an RFE today. Not gonna lie, but it broke my heart. I'm happy to have an update and know that its been looked at but at the same time its not the notification I was hoping for. I haven't gotten the information in the mail yet of what they need; fingers crossed its something simple.

Best of luck to y'all! At least you will know exactly what to fix. Adjusting from that point can be pretty quick.

I believe notice explaining USCIS actions is usually a Notice of Intent to Deny.  Or as Naes once called it, a super serious RFE.

Does it usually move this slowly? I'm a late-late December filer and it's killin' me!

November seems to be a new era. All of the other months started out much quicker once they got started, and didn't do this weird start in the middle of the month thing, or have a strange day get a bunch of approvals a month before everyone else.

I think they are having issues switching to their new system...

It is making me feeling sad. Everyday, I wake up hope that it is the day and there will be bunch of approvals, then we get disappointed... Never mind. When it is time, it will come. :(

This was me last week.  I got my letter today.  My RFE was because I forgot 2 questions.  They attached the paperwork needed and an envelope.  And I mailed my RFE back to them today as well.  I hope that gives you some hope.
