I filed my EAD renewal mid June and received the receipt notice in the mail shortly after. I have another letter from uscis today (image attached) - has anyone received more than one letter in the mail for EAD renewal or could it possibly be my interview notice? Is this what the interview notice looks like? It’s a regular envelope size and shape when I click on it, my informed delivery just made it look a bit squarish like a package in the preview. TIA ! 33D83F44-E305-4444-90EA-16D6F41EF3CB.thumb.jpeg.fd9c81f06ed634f847bcbabeebb56381.jpeg

False alarm. It was a notice saying they’ll reuse my fingerprints for EAD renewal 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hello guys,

I just tracked my husband’s I-485 ( it was the only thing we were still waiting on) hoping we’ll get an interview soon, but it says this — check the picture

NBC has made an interview request to my local office. But my local office is still able to choose to waive my interview? Just curious which office decides to waive interviews...

The odds are overwhelming that they will NOT waive the interview.

Yes interview waivers still happen and this is 99 percent approved. Congrats. If the production message comes its already being printed so you should get it soon. Go on informed delivery you should see it in the package section appear soon

It's my understanding that waivers for k1 aos interviews actually aren't supposed to happen anymore. I'm sure that's a process they're still working on, so some will probably still slip through the cracks, but generally speaking everyone is supposed to have interviews now.

I do agree though, if it says your card is being produced you should be fine, unless they somehow change their mind before they send it out. (that is very unlikely)

So there’s an outage and system upgrade@USCIS yesterday. This led to so many interviews scheduled. I’m just curious if anyone whose local support center is in Norfolk, Virginia got scheduled

Likewise if anyone in Los Angeles / San Fernando Valley got scheduled?

Hi guys this question is for those who already had their interview.

If your medical expired by the time you had the interview,  in your experience did they requested you to take another test? Or you guys were prepared ahead of time and brought a new medical?

Thanks.

It can be decided on a case by case basis . I have seen quite a few waivers in the past few weeks on multiple forums.

I have yet to see one piece of USCIS official publication that says ALL k-1 will be interviewed

I filed for my mother I-485 in first week of September 2017. We got notification online on 6/16/18 that an interview has been scheduled  but we will receive a letter in the mail with the details. Today is 7/10 (almost 3weeks since we got the online notice) and we still haven't received a letter in the mail. Is this normal? I thought once you get that notice online you should get the letter in the mail within a week. Has anyone received an online notification and received their interview letter in the mail, how long did it take from the online notification to actually receiving the letter in the mail?

You definitely should receive the letter within 1 week, 2 weeks maximum. Our case status changed to 'Interview Scheduled' on July 2 and we received the letter in the mail on July 9 (exactly 1 week later). Our interview is scheduled for August 9, so it's a little over 5 weeks after the initial notification that it was scheduled.

You don't want to miss getting the letter or you might miss the interview date. I'd give USCIS a call to see if they can give you any updates.
